He still looks good, let's be real many of us would love to have his looks and body (sorry but it's true, and I don't think I'm a slouch) but he's not aging well. He must like to be out in the sun a lot (well ... California and all and an Aussie).

+1 (I've always found him attractive, even now)

He also broke his elbow about a year and a half ago, I think he had an infection from whatever they put in there, surgeries, and is 45, so I'm fairly certain strenuous working out fell on the side LOL

That's what makes Lame ludicrous- he's 45 and she's 29. Worse this started when she was 19(!) and he was 35. So wrong and I can't believe that pairing ever got through either writing, Sony or CBS. Cane should be with Ashley and Lily with ANYONE else.

Objectively DG is still a good looking guy. It's the writing that makes he so unappealing at times. I imagine we'll be calling him Aunt Cane in 10 years.

I've always hated Lily paired with Cane. I tolerated it more when I thought he was Phillip. But once he was revealed as a con man nobody,  that should have been the end of it.  Him to gold dig on older women in town and her to be young. Instead, she was forced into role of family matriarch with stories better suited for a 45 year old woman. With the aid of the DVR, I actually went 2 years without hearing his voice. I just couldn't stomach the sound. And I side eye Neil for ever being okay with them together.

DG has a handsome face though but I've always thought he had a weird looking body. Made even worse by father time.

Actually they tested CAsh for a few weeks right before ED was traded to DAYS. It was some Asian deal in 2012(?) which is why I got royally PO'd at Sally & Crew having Cane do the bro-hug. I remember watching them and thinking they had a really good vibe, looked good together and both are serious about business.

I also thought I saw a few sparks when they randomly had Cane and Chelsea interacting quite a while back. I had happened to catch the episode and they were interacting.

I could see DG and ED together.

Cane whining a few weeks ago about how unfair his life was just got on my last nerve. It was awful.

Forget about how old DG looks.  He has the same problem most soap actors have today.  He can't act for [!@#$%^&*].

The story was abruptly cut because Sony sent ED to DAYS. The more I think about the pairing, it could be hot and 'scandalous' - Jabot/B&S execs getting it on. I think about good storytelling and Ravi/Juliet added to canvas has zero impact. Pairing these CAsh two creates lots of material. Plus I'd like to see how ED/CK work together - with Lily being in dark - or better Hilary discovers the affair and we know how much love there is between Ashley/Hilary!

    • Regarding the mobster storyline: The scripts, the cardroom set, and the writing for Joey -- are all terrible. They seem to be writing a realistic depiction of compulsive gambling as an addiction, showing that it pops into his head all the time -- it has become hardwired into his brain.  The APA (American Psychological Association) describes compulsive gambling as having a similar effect on the physical brain as drug and alcohol addiction. https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/07/how-gambling-affects-the-brain I think Jason Graham (Doug) is doing an adequate job playing Doug as a compulsive gambler, with the thoughts/urges coming into his head all the time, and being unable to stop. However, the cardroom set is awful and the mobster storyline is a bad cliché, so it's all so uninteresting to watch. I think Mr. Graham is doing the best he can with the crap they gave him to work with. If anyone reading or watching has a gambling issue, check out Gamblers Anonymous.  They have many types of meetings -- in-person, online, video, audio, etc.  They also have resources for friends/family of compulsive gamblers.
    • Today was painful (especially for Philip).  I still feel for Xander. He was clear he was happy sharing and working with Philip. It's just one more betrayal from someone he loved. Going back to last year when he found out about Victor and Fiona, then Alex and Philip. He forgave and tried. Then Philip went behind his back again. He's been walking on the edge for weeks. This is a man who was abused, neglected and has never had any therapy for his horrific past. He has zero coping skills because he's never learned them. I hate this but I refuse to hate Xander
    • Lucy Coe wasn't even this big of a whore.
    • Kate being the one that Alex called was a nice surprise. The cut to her looking all sheek made me instantly get excited for her to get back into business mode. And the Jack reference from when she first came to town (on-screen) was inserted naturally which is always welcome. When they were talking about how much sex sells, I almost got the impression they were sizing each other up in a May/December type of way.  All the Philip stuff was gruesome. I'm happy the show isn't shying away from Xander's ugliness. I love them both, and it just makes me intrigued for the aftermath for it all to be taken seriously. I cheered when Philip spat out at that Sarah knew the truth. I'm on tenterhooks for their eventual confrontation. I was surprised that Kate wasn't a little vicious towards Sarah for Xander's obvious behavior, but maybe that's still to come. How wonderfully entangled is it that both Philip and Shawn/Steve stopped each other from getting the drug. Both equally at fault. Who/what will ultimately save Bo? And with everything going on, is a Salem where it's looking likely that EJ is about to own the hospital imminent?
    • Oddly.. Chase and Steve seem to have both vanished from the canvas in December so the Estelle return loses impact when two of her kids stop appearing shortly after her return (and I assume TR leaves in early 1986 as well). The Steve recast doesn't work... but it's odd that he has a long scene with Teri with Cagney looking jealous.. when the majority of his time on the show previously was a relationship and engagement to Stephanie (who he barely has a scene with in the episodes I see). Your idea for Wendy/Bela/Stephanie sounds just like what Ryan's Hope did with Michael/Kim/Rae... and considering Louise Shaffer was playing Rae and Stephanie.. it would have been a lousy redux of a superior story on another soap (that had months of build-up) I think Quinn becoming assistant to Stephanie was Mayer/Braxton... but not 100 % sure. I don't know if Mayer/Braxton was setting up Sarah as a bad girl disguised as a good girl.. but the actress (Joyner) was playing the scenes in that manner.. and Tomlin wisely tapped into that when he took over.
    • She’s such a caricature - which is a shame because I think the actress is capable of so much more.   I don’t know why Cady often feels like she has overcompensated in her performances. She already proved she can play much more than just Dixie Cooley during her first stint at ATWT (her best acting era). Her performances in various roles since then have been quite strange at times.
    • It feels like the show suddenly woke up today and remembered it was Sweeps month. Lots of action and forward momentum, including a delicious Nina/Carly fight.

    • Where did I say that you weren't allowed to say anything? Personally I just find "disgusted" a very strong word, and not something I would use for such a trivial matter as a song contest. You obviously do, and that's your prerogative, just as it is mine to disagree.
