A cute caricature of Audrey Landers and Ken Kercheval (an hour into this Win Lose or Draw episode).

The caricature of Bea Arthur looks a bit drag-ish. Great find!

That or one of the old Disney villains. Given the beef between Betty and Bea I'm sure Betty loved it.

People criticized Donna Reed for the way she dressed as Miss Ellie on DALLAS - upscale, but not showy - but the truth is, that IS how older women from Texas dressed back then!  It's Barbara Bel Geddes who had it all wrong with all those Esther Walton originals.

Miss Ellie may have been a wealthy matriarch but her original styling reflected her roots as a rancher's daughter.

Remember too that Dallas got more corporate and glamorous in an attempt to compete w/ Dynasty.

I may be misremembering, but I recall a scene when Ellie was contemplating the mastectomy and she was looking through her closet and lamenting she would never be able to wear certain types of clothing again.

And the audience must have been thinking- You've only ever worn those sack dresses, so what's the difference? Your boobs haven't been on show for years.

Miss Ellie's mastectomy really gave Barbara & Jim some good material to work with. The only part I thought was weird was having Jock having had a wife before Ellie. That came out of left field like Ray being his son after he had been banging Lucy prior.

Miss Ellie's wardrobe was blah for the most part. Pam/Victoria was stunning during the early years, but after she cut her hair into that awful shag it started to go downhill from there. She was often sporting bad hairdos and dye jobs (Thanks Jhirmack). A few years ago a youtube uploader posted some videos titled something like " Dallas Fashion Fiascos" that I shared here which were hilarious. I remember one was titled " Peter's Lack Of Fabrics" and showed scenes of Peter in his short shorts and half tee's.
