Andy & Diane were great. They were a solid (but not boring) couple and made a fun foursome with Paul/Lauren. She brought out a sexy side to him & he grounded her (as a couple they weren't all that different that Devon & Hillary now). She was heartbroken when she found out he'd fallen in love with Fallon in her absence.

Completely agree. There scenes were ridiculous today.  Does Victoria really need Billy to convince her to try to get custody of Reed. That was completely contrived.

Overall it was a good episode though. I like new Reed. Maybe it's watching Days and the awful "teen" actors they have, but I think Reed is pretty good.

I like the new Reed too. I can't get over how much he looks like Michael Graziadei though.

It was soooo contrived having Billy barge his way into Victoria's and spouting his opinion. This coupling is holding both characters back immensely. Heinle's rolled out of bed lazy acting doesn't help either.

I got a chance to watch today's episode last night and ITA, there was noticable improvement in their interaction.

This new Reed impressed me. He came off as natural, a teen capable of angst but not OTT, he played the beats in the dialogue quite well.

This may not be a popular opinion, but I think Hillary's combativeness and defensiveness worked well in those scenes with Neil. It also made for a good contrast when she broke down after learning what happened to Devon.

Boy, you can truly see the British soap influence in that sequence where Devon was found and carted off through the ER to the OR.

Sharon seems more like Sharon these days and her tone seems in keeping with a concerned Mother of a grown young woman, who has lived life on her own. Not goading or judging but advising her of the fallout and Mariah's response that Sharon's advice came too late was fitting for Mariah's character as well as the scene.

The only thing I really wished would of happened, that there was a brief scene with Sharon trying to call Nikki, perhaps to intervene to try to stop Dylan from leaving. It may have added another layer, to see Nikki either try and fail to convince Dylan to stay or just miss the call and not get there in time. As it is, I'm hoping that Nikki won't blame Sharon for not telling her (which Y&R is often wont to do, blame Sharon) because it's often been done to death and it's not interesting to watch.

For the record, I still think that the premise of Mariah being tripped by Hillary causing this operatic level fallout is utterly ridiculous, but in isolation, the scenes surround the fallout itself were interesting to watch in this episode.

I had already forgotten they were paired. Who paired them? I was half paying attention to Y&R.

Me too...she has finally stop going off the deep end....LOL. Its a nice refreshing change.

Haters?? Really?...ugh

She's always been like that...LOL...a b!tch

Agreed...another Reed fan here too.

I loved those scenes. I thought it was going to be the same scenes you see after a crash but I thought that was brilliantly done.

Gosh how perfect was SC today? She had a lot of solid if not earthshaking material. I loved her talk with Mariah. Sharon was a real mother not wanting her to sink to Hilary's levels. I loved the comeback that Dylan can fight his own battles when Mariah said it was for him too. It's taking time but they are really making progress on fixing key characters. While they're very little in terms of meaty stories, you have to have clearly defined and rootable characters to make those work.

Their initial flirtation was Jack Smith.

Their rest of their relationship (including Heinle going into a coma after getting hit in the head with a fake brick) was LML.

I agree with everyone that Sharon was much improved today. Sharon Case works wonders when she isn't forced to do her crazy routine.

And with Mariah, Noah, Abby, Summer, Faith, Reed, Kate, Johnny, Christian & Connor around there are way too many Newman kids on the canvas right now.

    • Judging by the fact that I was able to watch two episodes today, looks like Canada being a day ahead might be permanent.
    • Agreed! I normally don't rate Amanda Setton that highly as an actress, but she knocked those scenes out of the park. Between this and the Michael storyline, I think we're in for a week of juicy drama. I heard everyone talking about how dull Rory Gibson was on Y&R, but I thought he was pretty good today playing a steelier version of Michael. And I loved Wiley's little "Bye mommy!" moment. The writers clearly know how much most of us hate Willow if they're tossing out little nuggets of schadenfreude like that one.
    • Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.  Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy... Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister. I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.
    • They've been on same day for three episodes, which is a good thing because the days flowed weird to me before.
    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
    • This isn't a bad episode, but I'm finding myself not as engaged. Must be the lack of Eva and Leslie. No Nicole, Dani.
