SHELLEY HENNIG TO RETURN AS STEPHANIE JOHNSON...

The news is now out! As had been teased earlier this year, another fan favorite (and former Daytime Emmy nominee) will be returning to "Days of Our Lives." Shelley Hennig will be reprising the role of Stephanie Johnson for Steve & Kayla's wedding in February 2017. Since leaving "Days" in 2011, Hennig has had starring roles on "The Secret Circle" and "Teen Wolf."

That's a shock!....she just really seemed done with her soap past since staring in primetime and especially a popular show like Teen Wolf.... 

Yeah, it's definitely nice they're bringing her back for this.

Eh...I hardly remember her and staring on an MTV show isn't that big IMO..if Julianne Moore could return to ATWT after all the success she has had then any other less successful actor could return....

That was nice of her - glad she doesn't sneer at soaps even though she's had some primetime work. You might say, "Of course she wouldn't," but you'd be surprised at some actors. 

I noticed that Shelley replied to several of Mary Beth's instagram posts, and Kristian Alfonso commented on a couple of Shelley's instagrams too

That's nice...her tweets seem to be all teen wolf related for the most part....

Classy of her to appear.

My own wishful thinking, but she needs to tell a few of her own TW co stars that it's not bad joining a soap....

probably true....I guess it's safe to assume she filmed scenes already for days since they tape so far ahead...

I got excited for a second because I thought she was coming back full time. I LOVED her as Stephanie. I hated how Melanie was always written more favourably than her. 

it's stuff like this that continues to show how great working at DAYS must be... I mean this chick's post-DAYS career is going pretty awesome, imo. 

Great she returned,but this probably means no full time return for the character.Too many Horton/Brady family members offscreen.

Love that they're FINALLY bringing her back for a visit! Yay! I'm glad we're getting so many returns and visits in this regime. I agree that she should be on the canvas full time though. If Hennig doesn't want to return they should have recast.
