And ratings haven't been up since Claire Labine wrote it. The ratings are tragic.

Ratings actually went up after she left, via Luza. The low ratings in 1995 are one of the reasons she left.

Guza round one was a great time for ratings and stories.  As much as I loved Labine, she was spinning her wheels for a couple of months there and it had been so depressing.  He did have the advantage of the beginnings by her of the Bobbie having flashbacks/nightmares about a baby (which became the Carly story) and the introduction of Jax (who was brought on to upset Lois/Ned) and both began under Labine on her way out.  I think the Jason head injury may also have been her team's idea too.  Could be wrong on that one though.

The Sonny/Brenda/Jax/Lilly story, clink boom, Jason and the Q's, Robin finding love again after Stone, Laura going on trial for murdering Damian and Justus defending her even though he did it and Edward's involvement, Kevin's breakdown and stalking of Felicia, Lulu's illness and the reintroduction of the Cassadines, Carly's arrival.  It was a great time in the show.

IA. Guza with Wendy Riche as the EP was great.  It's when GH got Jill (the soap killer) Faren Phelps as EP and Guza was still headwriter that the show got so bad.  A good EP is very important.  This is why GH still sucks.  Fire Frank already!

Claire left to work on developing a new soap Union Square for ABC, then NBC wanted it. She also developed a GH spinoff with Lois, Ned, Tracy and Lois family in Brooklyn but ABC chose Port Charles instead

Yes & Guza hated working with Wendy. She kept him in check and wouldnt let him do just anything he wanted (Like JFP did)

A late ass thread that came 11 days into the month with 11 posts, none of which actually discuss the show. GH must be great these days!

Hayden and Finn are probably the best coupling. Jean and Shelly master matchmakers in romance. Hayden/Finn, Franco/Liz and laura and kevin. Romance is here for a great fall. Jean and Shelly have great holiday episodes coming up. There always full of heart, family and friends.
