Genera Hospital Matt Cohen

Supernatural 'Dad' Matt Cohen Scrubs In at General Hospital

South of Nowhere alum Matt Cohen is scrubbing in at General Hospital.

The actor — whose more recent TV credits include How to Get Away With Murderand Supernatural (where he recurs as Young John Winchester) — has been cast on ABC’s sole surviving sudser as Dr. Griffin Munro, our good friends at Soaps In Depthreport.

Cohen will make his daytime-TV debut sometime in February.

Whose storyline do you think the good doctor will get wrapped up in?

I've seen him in a couple of things.  He's a decent actor and he is pretty attractive.  Too bad his part is being created by the boring duo.

All the females his age are all so meh. I could picture that dreamboat with Lucas. I least he's a doctor not a lame cartoony mobster.

He's not a bad actor, and certainly handsome, but these days GH is such a shambles of a production I doubt he'll have much to bring.

giving Nathan & Lucas a run for their monies in the good-looking department...

He looks in his 30s.  I can see him being Budig's brother or husband, and then he gets involved with Liz or Sam.

I have a feeling he is for Sam…..he could have been a Patrick recast…..I am sure they'll waste the character….and I am positive he will be a better actor than most of the GH actors combined.

Thats what I was thinking too but I highly doubt it. This is GH we are talking about.

He's actually someone who would've been a good contender for Scotty Grainger if Y&R cared......

Considering how a pivotal character he was during the 90s it is a shame his character was totally diminished.

It's not surprising considering they all seem to think post 2005 that you can't exist on the show if your last name isn't Abbott or Newman.....

I don't recommend anyone good for GH now. That show is so terrible between the writing and the acting all he'll do is pick up tics.

There is no rehearsal time and there are a lot of bad actors on display, so I wouldn't recommend it either, aside from people who need the acting work, obviously.
