January 3, 201610 yr Member I watched that New Years episode. Awful!!!!!! Lexi's acting is terrible. Was drunk Kristina on the prowl for hot men supposed to come off as sexy? Cuz she was trying way too hard to seem like a vamp and it wasn't happening. Johnny comes across as nothing but slimely and has for the past few years. Are we supposed to root for Lulu to get with the murdering rapist? And I have yet to see ER have chemistry with someone on GH. Jasam....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Scrubs- Never cared for them and they rushed through them None of the people watching football came off as genuine either. It was all like "Yay sports!" No. It was "Yay ESPN!" a fellow Disney company. So lame. So incredibly lame. And NONE of it was believable. NYE show proved worthless. Nothing advanced and NOTHING to look forward to. Is Nik/Hayden lying? Liz desperately phoning Jason? Lulu and Johnny Sleaze? TIIC have not one clue!

I have no problem with product placement but that was the worst product placement I've seen on soaps and I sat through the KY "commercials" on Passions and Midol for DAYS. It was the NYE show. Couldn't they find some distilled beverage company to sponsor? My family used to be in the bar business so when I was younger I spent quite a few NYEs at the bar. Actually now that I think bout it they could've gotten Coor Light to sponsor and brought in the Coors Light girls.
January 3, 201610 yr Author Member It would give the Quarter mains great sad storyline and Jean would do a breast cancer story justice. It would be very sad but invite stiryline for the Qs Uh no she won't. She better not touch that storyline, since she already screwed up how Jason and Robin broke up
January 3, 201610 yr Member Explains Kim's weight gain. She was pregnant and lost the baby at 22 weeks http://kimberlymccullough.com/2015-year-end-wrap-up-the-discovery-of-dj-vellum-and-other-fun-facts-about-being-an-adult
January 3, 201610 yr Administrator Poor Kimberly. It sucks that people were making fun of her because of her weight. Anyway, I'm glad her directing career is taking off. I wish her all the best and success. And I do hope she keeps popping back in for a few episodes here and there. GH is her family.
January 3, 201610 yr Member 5 and a half months. Not that it's easy to lose a baby early on but that must have been awful. My thoughts to her.
January 4, 201610 yr Member It sucks that some people bashed her weight and stuff. I feel so bad for her.
January 4, 201610 yr Member The Q's have had enough sadness the last 10-15 years. It's time for an upswing... I agree. Anybody who watched GH in the eighties remembers how Edward was in constant dread of Cousin Herbert and his branch of the Quartermaine family. I think back then, they probably were thinking about expanding the Quartermaines, but it never happened. I don't like the idea of killing of Monica. When a soap is struggling, the last thing you do is kill off a major and popular character if it can be helped. Killing them off might cause a temporary spike in the ratings, but then, cause a longer term drop. Killing Maureen on GL comes to mind.......

January 4, 201610 yr Member Jimmy Lee has family, there are Wards(Bradley's offspring), Herbert's kin...The Q's still can be replenished...but no one cares(in charge that is)...
January 4, 201610 yr Member Instead of nobody cares about Valerie even tied to the Spencer's, she could have been Maya and served multiple purposes instead of the plot device she is. But TBH, Maya to me wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire, it was more the actress was good. And that was a period I wasn't watching much of so maybe I'm wrong.

Maya was a character with potential but unfortunately tiic had no interest in developing her after the first couple of months. She was a doctor not a mobster's go so that was already a strike against her. They most used her to prop Ethan and then the actress booked a lead role on a pilot and was offscreen for awhile and then they brought her back to throw her under the bus for Kristina.
