November 24, 201510 yr Member I loved Adam and Liza written by Lorraine Broderick. Such fabulous material for them Adam and Brooke were my fav. I loved the writing for them! So sad that such a great talent is gone
November 24, 201510 yr Member Oh man, this is sad. I loved David Canary, and AMC went downhill fast without him. I'm wondering if he had Alzheimer's, which would explain the lack of publicity. The family was able to have the private service they had planned, before announcing his death. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Go to alz.org “David Canary Memorial Fund.
November 24, 201510 yr Member I feel...gutted. No idea what to say other than he was a fantastic, fantastic actor and he will be missed.
November 24, 201510 yr Member His obituary confirmed he was living in an assisted living facility for those with memory issues and given the charity selected it points to Alzheimer's. David Canary was one of the daytime greats. I loved his performance as Adam and Stuart. How sad his leading ladies: Susan Lucci, Julia Barr, Marcy Walker and Jennifer Bassey. You only heard wonderful things about him. This really is terribly sad. The legends are leaving us.

November 24, 201510 yr Member Oh, this one gets to me. He was one of my all-time favorites. His acting never ceased to impress me. RIP to a great actor and person. It does appear he had ALZ. There was something a little off when he was in the re-boot. My father-in-law has Parkinsons and dementia so I know how devastating this can be. He was one of the beloved daytime greats.
November 24, 201510 yr Member It really is. My grandmother had dementia and her mother had it. It's very devestating
November 24, 201510 yr Member Wow…so shocked..thought he would live forever. RIP…he was a great actor. For some odd reason, DC just seemed unstoppable and would outlive us all. He was that good as Adam!
