Burgess Jenkins has been fired from Y&R

Wow. I can only imagine the happy dance some of you are doing right now. So maybe he really is being replaced by Jason Thompson. Whoever they get I hope it works because the character is becoming a joke. 

I still don't think JT is right for Billy Abbott, but he'll be better than Reverend Kane.

Burgess was totally wrong for the part. He was way too old.

Ughh.......Why just put Billy to rest entirely..........no more recasts!!! and another plastic surgery arc???.....zzzzzzzzzz

and honestly I might have been happy with Thompson as Billy, if he wasn't already recast over 50 times....

Exactly....

He was one of the most blatant examples of a seat filler recast I've ever seen, I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did. Off to low budget Canadian Lifetime original movies where you belong Burgess!

They should have stuck with David Tom. He was perfectly fine as Billy. There was no need to recast with Burgess. 

Come on, David Tom sucked his last run, his only saving grace was his chemistry with his co stars but that can only take you so far when your acting is as horrible as his was. He needed to go just as much as this guy.

And Billy Miller was good? Pleases…he was awful….David Tom should have stayed….there are other actors that are much worse than Tom…like Ms. Bucktooth Victoria Newman recast….she has stunk up the place the entire time she has been there…..

I feel like Tom was let go way too soon before getting a chance to really shine.....I wouldn't blame him if they did want him back and he refused, but I doubt they are even thinking of him....

Thompson would do a decent job, though I would hate having him deal with being called "BillyBoy" now...

I don't think that Jason is right for the role of Billy as I'll always only care for David Tom in the role. 

 

At least Grandpa Billy is gone! 

 

Now if they'd get rid of Paprika and Snorboria....
