The acting and dialogue is so atrociously bad in that promo, it's kinda fun.

I'm sorry but Stefano would not try and kill Marlena. He's too obsessed with her.

Kidnap her and put her in a cage? Yes.

If anything, I'd believe him trying to off one of her kids for payback over actually going for his beloved Marlena.

With Stefano running so short of children (even though Kristen and EJ will probably turn up later), I can see him going off on anyone that he thinks was responsible for harming one of them, even if it is Marlena.

I think this will probably play out as Stefano really trying to scare the hell out of Marlena and then swearing revenge, but not actually planning to go through with it. If not, you are correct, it's really OOC, although that's sort of funny to say for a DAYS character, especially a villain.

Yes, he's definitely long overdue.

I hope it's just a scare tactic and that a kidnapping or something dark, gothic, and deliciously evil is on the horizon.

But it's 2015. The only thing dark and gothic will be Marlena accidentally locked in her blue office at the hospital. Any excuse to use that damn set.
