He could easily fit in on some of those teen vampire shows or teen wolf or whatever. There are a lot of actors working who appear to have nothing to offer beside looks. Colton Haynes is someone I just don't get, or that OC guy who now plays Gordon on Gotham. BC is better than them imo and I think that hint of ethnicity look he has might help land some roles.

Those shows are starting to fade.

If Taylor Lautner made it, then I'm sure he might too, but he has a face that is...offbeat, no acting ability, and a whiny voice. He'd probably have to work hard or find someone who would work hard for him.

Taylor Lautner is basically Irrelevant now. Vampire treND is basically over. The excitement for TVD decreased rapidly from both fans and cast. The originals is serviceable at best. The attempts to create those shows with other supernatural beings was a bust. ABC Family is done trying to recreate PL after several failed attempts and is focusing on more heavy hitting dramas.

And what great looks does BC have. Face and body are average. You can find guys like him on any college campus.

And none of the young and hyped actors have amounted to anything off this show in recent years. And some of them had more going for them than BC.

I can't believe I just watched a long, emotional argument between two nine year olds about their "true love", a stolen engagement ring and one boy with facial burns demanding the girl choose between him and another boy. I feel like I'm losing my mind. Please end this Spencer story before I kill a stray cat.

BTW, Nicolas Bechtel is almost able to deliver emotion about his fears over his burns when alone with Tyler Christopher. Then they give him more campy joke lines to deliver to defuse any moments of emotional honesty or genuine child reactions, or they make him move around and hit his marks or awkwardly "run" out of the room while emoting and he can't do it. If they let the scenes breathe, and stopped trying to play him like the bitchy little prince, they might be able to get something real.

Part of the problem for Bryan Craig will be a very talented young Canadian actor the same age as Craig named Richard Harmon. He has the same kind of offbeat dark looks as Craig, but he's much more attractive. He seems to be the go-to guy for the kind of roles Craig would try for. A casting director might call on Craig because someone talented like Harmon isn't available, but I can't see that happening much.

Bryan Craig has been on General Hospital since 2013 and he doesn't seem to have done a thing to improve his acting while he's been there. That's a terrible move for someone who wants a future as an actor.

"Uh, Frank Valentini likes how I look in underwear," is not a ringing endorsement.

I'm not sure where you guys are getting Brian is so awful. He does a really good job, especially with good direction. He can only get better with time and good material.

If he loses his job, Geary's ass better be out too because he certainly put FrankenRon on front street. We knew Fluke was a mess from the word go and it was nothing more than a guessing game. Who new moRon's stank ass was going to prove us right yet again?! Changing the outcome of a year long "story" because the viewers guessed the outcome? Who in the entire !@#$%^&*] does that?! Imagine erasing the events at the Metro Court in 2007 because MOST of the viewers guessed it was Jerry Jacks? Unreal!

How could anyone say Craptini was good for GH even for a minute is beyond me!

Lorraine Broderick, Gary Tomlin and Christopher Whitesell did years ago on OLTL. I think fans figured out Jessica and Natalie had been switched at birth. So, in order to throw everyone off-track, the three came up with the idea that both Jessica and Natalie were Viki's, born at the same time, but by different fathers.

Yeah, I didn't like that either.

It's pure, dumb luck, though, that Ron stumbled upon an explanation for Fluke that was much more interesting (IMO) than saying it was Bill Eckert. Of course, I don't know whether we needed to introduce Pat and the new insta-Spencer, Valerie, to accomplish that, but that's beside the point.

BITD, though, adequate direction and rehearsal time might have helped some. Don't believe me? Go back and look at Kelly Ripa's earliest stuff on AMC. She was so green it hurt, but you could tell the directors had time enough to work with her and make her...less green. Now, though, that kind of patience isn't possible with Valentini's hit-it-and-quit-it method of production.

But to change the entire fabric of the story? Remember, we saw things play out for an entire year. Luke the perv, Luke the gangster, Luke the coke head, Larry Ashton, Faison, Jerry, Helena (what am I missing). All of that is out the window because the whole thing was changed. That's insane!

    • I've always said, Robert Newman does not get enough credit for the popularity of Josh/Reva. Had he stayed in '91, and had years to build other relationships before Kim returned, I'm not sure we'd have been stuck with "always".
    • Bizarrely, while I didn't see it, I distinctly remember my younger sister telling me. We were walking to the store, and at the top of the hill she let out "Roger raped Holly", and I swear I remember it echoing for what seemed like forever. She would've been five at the time.  I know,,,which I find extraordinary. I have toyed with the idea of watching Another World for Maeve, Kathleen Widdoes and Beverlee. But watching Vanessa call Emma Snyder "momma" kinda weirded me out. LOL. I believe that's what I read in the recaps from the time as well. I meant, I couldn't quite believe that the audience wouldn't understand that a woman preparing to go to her engagement party  was raped. I know that on ATWT John raped Kim while they were married, resulting in Andy, but I think they shied away from calling that marital rape.
    • I have my fingers crossed for a baby to be named Monica Michelle & called Monica. And, yes, I do realize that is not equal to having her onscreen but, like you said & of course a recast is unthinkable.
    • I would love to have Monica on screen. Leslie Charleson has died. She played the role for 46 years. Monica should pass as well. No one is going to accept a long-term recast for Monica, no matter how great  the actress they could get.
    • Coming into June...   It just occurred to me that seeing Carter/Hope engaged that there was something missing. Oh, yeah! DAPHNE. I missed a few episodes, but she left, right? So is Ridge going to be the spoiler for Carter/Hope now? I felt that Daphne/Carter/Hope had more legs to it. But I guess we will see.   I did enjoy that show circling back around to Luna/Will/Electra. Katie was spitting nothing, but truth. Same for Sheila. And it's good to see Luna vs Electra, and they gave off more adversary chemistry this time around versus when they were at Deacon's.    I was happy to see Liam reduced to C plot.
    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
