Sharon Case and Justin Hartley were good today. Sharon's involvement makes that IKWYDLS ripoff SL much more interesting, for me anyway.

Nick and Sage are freakin nasty. I agree. I'm not sure if Courtney knows about the video. If she does, I haven't seen it.

Sex on the floor of a constructions site, must be love. They should have had Sharon come in, look down, burst out laughing and say "Wow Nick. Really? Couldn't wait 'til you at least had a couch in here?". Were Nick and Sage rolling around in drop cloths? I couldn't tell. And Sage boasting about it with Adam was so lame. What is she, 17? Pathetic.

I do not enjoy seeing Sharon suffer, over and over again with her mental illness. Today when she was freaking out in front of Dylan and slipping into a manic state it was painful to watch, and not in a good way. Bring on the brain tumor goddammit.

I dont like that either, piper. It is painful, I guess what I was getting at is there is someone I care about in the cabin story (apart from Mariah). Sharon Case is selling it though. If she or JH weren't on today, the episode would have been a wreck.

The only person I know that hates Sharon more than me is my husband. What kind of a mom would tear up a card make by her daughter for her dad? Batsheet crazy for sure!!!! Cannot stand her..never could..she always has been crazy even before they had kids.

Reading these comments, I guess some of these stories aren't going gangbusters these days. I don't watch as consistently but from what I've seen of the Cabin Fever storyline, I couldn't help but think that the only thing that could save this story was if Roberta Crampton put in an appearance and it's discovered that Austin was working for Leanna Love. Then the story might actually have been interesting enough on its own merits that they wouldn't need to throw Sharon Case (the patron saint of dying storylines) in there to make it more interesting.

So Victor just returned the love potion to Jabot? After all that scheming to get it in the first place? Even if he is simply 'fattening' up Jabot (financially) for the kill, it still makes for an anemic story point. Why couldn't Ashley be the one to get one up on Victor for once, and rescue the potion or trick Victor by the stolen formula being a bad batch with side effects, forcing Victor to drop the product or face lawsuits.

I like the fact that Leslie is back (Empire effect, y'all LOL) and hope she will be around for the forseeable future. I love the fact that Mishael M. mentioned that she would love to have Leslie and Hillary interact on a regular basis.

Not a spoiler, just speculation but

First off, if a woman asks a man if he wants help taking a shower that's an invitation to a hook up and Abby of all people would know that. So her suggesting that Stitch needs assiistance soaping himself up is a little strange. Then Stitch blurts out, "Last time I had help in the shower I cheated on Victorai". What.the.hell. Does he have Tourette's or did he just have a stroke? Finally he tells Abby that it was her mother he had sex with in the shower and it was in Ashley's shower. Way to go dude. I used to like Stitch but I'm starting to think he's a total idiot.

I got behind on Y&R and lost some episodes on the DVR. I dropped in today to see what's up. Man, this is some bad soap opera. In just the few weeks I was away, the quality has dropped off, not that it was stellar before.

Question: what's up with Michael and Lauren and the cancer story?

Thanks for the update.

Right! I mean, I don't care how much sex these people are having, but doing it with relatives SO's makes them look bad. Plus, it was in such bad taste to have Abby unwittingly calling Ashley all those names. I guess we were supposed to think that's funny.

) Anyways... I did really feel disgusted by Eurovision this year and I doubt I'll watch this horrific musical torture in the future. My ears and my psyche will not survive.
    • Regarding the mobster storyline: The scripts, the cardroom set, and the writing for Joey -- are all terrible. They seem to be writing a realistic depiction of compulsive gambling as an addiction, showing that it pops into his head all the time -- it has become hardwired into his brain.  The APA (American Psychological Association) describes compulsive gambling as having a similar effect on the physical brain as drug and alcohol addiction. https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/07/how-gambling-affects-the-brain I think Jason Graham (Doug) is doing an adequate job playing Doug as a compulsive gambler, with the thoughts/urges coming into his head all the time, and being unable to stop. However, the cardroom set is awful and the mobster storyline is a bad cliché, so it's all so uninteresting to watch. I think Mr. Graham is doing the best he can with the crap they gave him to work with. If anyone reading or watching has a gambling issue, check out Gamblers Anonymous.  They have many types of meetings -- in-person, online, video, audio, etc.  They also have resources for friends/family of compulsive gamblers.
    • Today was painful (especially for Philip).  I still feel for Xander. He was clear he was happy sharing and working with Philip. It's just one more betrayal from someone he loved. Going back to last year when he found out about Victor and Fiona, then Alex and Philip. He forgave and tried. Then Philip went behind his back again. He's been walking on the edge for weeks. This is a man who was abused, neglected and has never had any therapy for his horrific past. He has zero coping skills because he's never learned them. I hate this but I refuse to hate Xander
    • Lucy Coe wasn't even this big of a whore.
    • Kate being the one that Alex called was a nice surprise. The cut to her looking all sheek made me instantly get excited for her to get back into business mode. And the Jack reference from when she first came to town (on-screen) was inserted naturally which is always welcome. When they were talking about how much sex sells, I almost got the impression they were sizing each other up in a May/December type of way.  All the Philip stuff was gruesome. I'm happy the show isn't shying away from Xander's ugliness. I love them both, and it just makes me intrigued for the aftermath for it all to be taken seriously. I cheered when Philip spat out at that Sarah knew the truth. I'm on tenterhooks for their eventual confrontation. I was surprised that Kate wasn't a little vicious towards Sarah for Xander's obvious behavior, but maybe that's still to come. How wonderfully entangled is it that both Philip and Shawn/Steve stopped each other from getting the drug. Both equally at fault. Who/what will ultimately save Bo? And with everything going on, is a Salem where it's looking likely that EJ is about to own the hospital imminent?
    • Oddly.. Chase and Steve seem to have both vanished from the canvas in December so the Estelle return loses impact when two of her kids stop appearing shortly after her return (and I assume TR leaves in early 1986 as well). The Steve recast doesn't work... but it's odd that he has a long scene with Teri with Cagney looking jealous.. when the majority of his time on the show previously was a relationship and engagement to Stephanie (who he barely has a scene with in the episodes I see). Your idea for Wendy/Bela/Stephanie sounds just like what Ryan's Hope did with Michael/Kim/Rae... and considering Louise Shaffer was playing Rae and Stephanie.. it would have been a lousy redux of a superior story on another soap (that had months of build-up) I think Quinn becoming assistant to Stephanie was Mayer/Braxton... but not 100 % sure. I don't know if Mayer/Braxton was setting up Sarah as a bad girl disguised as a good girl.. but the actress (Joyner) was playing the scenes in that manner.. and Tomlin wisely tapped into that when he took over.
    • She’s such a caricature - which is a shame because I think the actress is capable of so much more.   I don’t know why Cady often feels like she has overcompensated in her performances. She already proved she can play much more than just Dixie Cooley during her first stint at ATWT (her best acting era). Her performances in various roles since then have been quite strange at times.
    • It feels like the show suddenly woke up today and remembered it was Sweeps month. Lots of action and forward momentum, including a delicious Nina/Carly fight.
