Will has always been a loser. The only difference is Chandler Massey had a dumb grin and a generic Ken Doll face. He also seemed to resent being paired with Sonny and tanked almost all their scenes.

I'm not sure if the Kristen stuff is the best example, as gay sex isn't the same as a rape (which was also done in a tawdry, shock value way).

I wouldn't want to see gay characters whoring it up at random just for a feint at equality. The show can't write this well with straight characters (look at what JJ/Eve could be and what they are), so they can't with gay characters either.

I don't get why some feel that IF Sonny sleeps with Paul he is still committed to his marriage but Will needs to win him back. HOWEVER IF Will sleeps with Paul then Will is not committed to the marriage & Sonny needs to divorce Will immediately. Seems like a huge double standard to me. I just don't get that logic. Any thoughts?Wilson fans i don't get why some feel that IF Sonny sleeps with Paul he is still committed to his marriage but Will needs to win him back. because Will has already 'checked out' so to speak and consistently been shown as not being as invested in 'Wilson' as Sonny, and sleeping w/ another guy would be 'confirmation' for most peeps. While Sonny has consistently been shown as 'fighting' for Will, and sleeping w/ another guy could be seen as Sonny blowing of steam/being fed up w/ Will BS.

but most of all, peeps just aren't here for Guy Wilson's Will. LOL

Guy and Freddie seemed very comfortable when Guy first started but the very little chemistry they had has vanished. And I DO think they had a little bit in the very beginning.

As far as Chandler, it DOES matter if he checked out. BYE. But seriously, he and Freddie didn't have this amazing chemistry. I didn't see it that way. They had a natural ease between them and there was SOME heat but it felt more like they were best friends who fucked. IMO.

I don't think Guy Wilson is as awful as everyone makes him out to be. He's not great but it bothers me that because he's average looking that many just have a problem with that. Not everyone is going to be a six pack model or even out and out 'hot'. Soaps used to cast people like Wilson. And to be honest, they haven't given him a lot to work with.

    • Just compared the open on Friday's episode with the first week episodes. I think the difference is that the bass line is much more apparent -- stronger and harder.
    • Phew, that was close to disaster!

I suspect we would have had a few withdrawals next year if Israel had won. I don't think many people would relish going to Jerusalem as things stand now. Not to mention it would have been a prime target for terrorist attacks.
    • And they've given us plenty. Sets, outdoor scenes, music licensing, etc. And that was the point of me using DAYS... so. It's obvious the casino set is not intended for long-term use, hence why it's likely it wasn't as evolved as the other community sets, etc.

    • I just had thought of how to save the Perkins family. (Inspired by Rituals) -- What if Marisa Perkins was Augusta Lockridge's sister? Fictionally, they could've both been local girls, one married rich and one married poor. Originally, I was going to suggest that Marisa be Sophia's sister, but then I realized Joe and Kelly would've been first cousins.  Of course, it would've truly inspired Sophia was if Rosa Andrade sister, with Rosa and Santana moving in to help CC raise the kids once Sophia disappeared.  While this could've avoided both gross CC and Santana affairs, the times were not right for a story about intersectional inequity.
    • https://www.instagram.com/p/DJxW5DLJLId/ Another World is my forever favorite soap opera. But it's finale is almost universally hated by its fans. What this is, is an edit where I've deleted everything I didn't like!!!
    • The Perkins family had potential to be a nice alternative to the more dysfunctional Capwells and wackier Lockridges... but I think a few factors did in the family. 1) Recasting of Joe Perkins 2) Bad casting of the Perkins Patriarch, and the one note writing for that character. 3) Lack of antagonistic interaction between the Capwells/Lockridges and Perkins.  (There was no awkwardness between Jade/Ted.. or CC disapproving of his son being friends with that Perkins girl, etc). 4) Wasting of Jade thus wasting the potential of the actress (which was realized on Days of Our Lives).  She had more potential than Laken oddly enough. The only member of the Perkins family that had appeal and a somewhat thought out story arc was Amy.
    • @GymnastGuyThanks for posting the three new Capitol 1985 episodes today. The two labeled March 12, and 13 are misidentified. The March 12 labeled one actually aired November 12 1985 which I figured out because Kenny Rogers' movie Wild Horses aired November 12th and it was announced over the "March 12" Cap credits. In addition, Craig Carlson is listed in the April credits but not the March. Craig left Capitol sometime after July 1985 before he rejoined OLTL in the credits by October 15, 1985; he was replaced on Cap by Radcliffe and Hamner. In these posted episodes Radcliffe/Hamner names appear in the March 85 episodes but not in the April.
