Cosby will never be who he was - a respected star and authority - again. He will never draw massive crowds or enjoy implicit respect, and he will never work in major entertainment again. He will die as this - a serial rapist who walked on a technicality. That's the only solace and the only justice. Thus ends my ever giving Phylicia Rashad a fraction of my time again: He doesn't need to work again. He's rich, he's old... he's been ready to retire for years.

June 30, 20214 yr Member Outrageous! Unfortunately he's not the first, and he won't be the last, to get off on a technicality. Shut the f*ck up, b*tch! The only miscarriage of justice in this case is that this rapist is released!

"Bye, Phylicia" is trending During The Cosby Show's original run on NBC, Rashad appeared as a guest on (IIRC) Phil Donahue's talk show. A member in the audience made the comment that, while it was fine to see people of color portraying well-off and affluent characters on television, it was also important to reflect the reality of all the black people whose lives are mired in economic and social struggle; whose lives are not ideal. Boy, did Rashad get angry. She sideswiped his point by saying that wealthy black folks did exist in the USA (true, of course, but that was not the crux of his statement), then demanded that he sit down and made no further comment. She was so gratuitously rude over an innocent remark that actually had merit. I never cared for her after that.
July 1, 20214 yr Member Jackée also voiced her displeasure with Phylicia via, ironically, a now-deleted clip of Clair from The Cosby Show. What a day. Edited July 1, 20214 yr by Vee
July 1, 20214 yr Member At least he did three years. So many rapists just get away with it without justice finding them at all. I know I should be more outraged, but as Vee pointed out, at least everyone with sense knows that he is a disgusting rapist. That's something, anyway.
