Wasn't Mariah always white? I couldn't sworn that was a white woman's hands they showed when she was stalking Abby and Tyler.

The wrists they used to show definitely looked like a lighter skinned black woman. Then a couple weeks ago they started showing the obviously white hands.

I'm just remembering when CK/Mariah was in the hallway after locking Abby in the apartment overnight, and her scurrying away in heels. Clackity clack clack. When will CG be in heels as Mariah?

If they knew CG was going to be Mariah all along, at the very least, they sure botched quite a few details.

I suspect that they are dressing her down because she isn't wealthy. I don't expect that to last past Christmas. She will have a designer wardrobe soon enough. LOL

That tat on Mariah's wrist definitely looked different than before and by different, I mean bad. Not as bad as Jeffrey's foot tattoo on OLTL 2.0, but bad enough to see, it did not look like the one the first time around.

Has there been another soap where details like this have been so botched? I don't recall it ever happening on Y&R before JFP. But I could be wrong.

If Neil were recast (which would never happen) with a better actor and still be nothing more than an Uncle Tom for the white massas businessmen of GC, then I would have to change my tune.

But in essence he was.

Keith Cobb was brought on as the Anti Neil (an independent businessman) who barely made it two years on the show (much of which he spent working for the white characters) but keep blaming Kristoff's talent for the Winters issues (despite the fact that with little to no airtime & even less support from the writing Kristoff was able to win two Emmys).

I'm not going to say Shemar couldn't make Malcolm "work" just b/c his return to the show turned out to be a bust.

Why not? Isn't Malcolm's fate during his last stint a reflection of his talent?
