I must say that was a big let down and I didn't even get to part 3 :( I'm also reminded how absolutely horrible an actress Alicia Minshew is. wacko.png Jeez, really!?!?! This woman is terrible and she's the lead ...oh my & she's narrating it too!?!?!?. Oh no, Tainted Dreams.... Girl you in danger! While it was nice seeing so many AMC faces.....my goodness it was a hot mess in so many ways.

Terri Ivens and Michael Lowry. LOL Never thought I'd see "Simone's" boob exposed with "Jake" grinding up on her/it.

Oh good gosh please NO!! Let's not put that out there.nbe.jpg Isn't he busy regaling BB and it's fans by being the greatest "classically trained" actor that's ever acted. And is CH going to be able to crawl out his ass to actually be on this show???

I saw this at 2 this morning and it was sh!t. Was it filmed in a shoebox? The only saving grace to this middle school production was Kelly Hensley!

Alicia Menshew and Natalia Livingston? Dreadful!!!!! Why would anyone finance this upon hearing these 2 names?!

I was very much looking forward to this series but after watching these three episodes, I have to say that I'm disappointed. As others have pointed out, the sound is lacking and the lighting is just atrocious. The guy who brings the phone to Minshew's character is obviously supposed to be comic relief but the actor is so over the top that I was cringing. And the whole scene when Minshew started sorting through her mail from home? It was so awkward and forced. Is she really that busy that she doesn't have time to sort through 4-5 pieces of mail at home? It was clearly meant to advance the plot and get in a joke from her assistant. Very lazy writing.

I don't like it. I don't hate it either. I'll continue to watch to see if it improves.

KMH definitely was the stand out in these episodes.

As for the rest of it? Unfortunately, it just seems like a poorly written and produced soap.

I started looking forward to Beacon Hill over Tainted Dreams a long time ago. The promos alone for BH look tons better than TD in general. Hopefully TD will show improvement as episodes continue to roll out.

I'm not going to expect a miracle for Season 1 but hopefully they listen to critiques and do Season 2 more carefully.

I didn't hate episode 1, but it definitely felt ... forced.

I love the idea of "daytime" dramas moving online, for now.

Looks ready for television. I'm on the edge of my seat for this one, hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

I'm missing the joke. Do tell. I haven't watched many (or maybe any!) online soap operas and I haven't been crazy about CC since after she ended her run on DOOL.

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
