Kim played that subtle moment after Georgie touched her shoulder perfectly - the right tinge of tears in her eyes and voice. Most actors on soaps who get those kind of bits don't do that so well anymore.

I'm not sure Lindze Letherman is even acting professionally anymore, but I don't care whether they do it before the show goes off the air or right at the end - they just need to bring Georgie back from the dead. Even if they send her off right after, or even if it's at the end of the show, it needs to happen. Of course if it was up to me, the show would go on the Internet and Georgie could be part of a new crop of doctors and one of the regulars (she was studying medicine or the sciences, right?) but hey.

I'd be just fine with Georgie coming back from the dead. And Alan. I'd overlook however they would choose to bring them back. Neither should have been killed off.

I also loved Robin slapping the crap out of Maxie in the previews.

Today was so blah. Sabrina/Carlos, zzzz. Shawn/Sonny even more zzzz. And it was just a picture of Lily and Sonny wants to find out if Carlos is related to Lily and if he is, he won't hurt him. So yet ANOTHER flimsy reason Sonny can't off these people.

Anna/Robin zzzz. Robin whining about Patrick. Felix being all up in Patrick's face. Ugh, he's so annoying.

It was nice seeing Mac and Ellie sharing scenes for a change.

Sonny going after Carlos to get to Julian is so stupid. Does he honestly think Julian gives a damn about him?

Maxie keeps proving exactly why the judge was right in keeping her from that baby. Im so sick of her pity party. I really wanted to FF those scenes but it was Georgie that kept me from it. Can they just bring Georgie back from the dead already? I wasn't a big fan of hers but I like the glimpses we keep getting of her

I prefer Sabrina with Carlos. Now really is the time for RC to do his usual psycho personality morph. She might work better as a bad girl and I think she'd feed off of him well. I want to see her plot to keep Patrick from Robin and come up with tricks to hold onto him and enlist Carlos' help. He can agree to do it bc he wants her happy even if it isnt with him. Really though he'd be secretly setting her up to look awful in Patrick's eyes by arranging to expose her lies and manipulations in the end. Really she could be so much more interesting if they went this route.

Its too bad Robin stopped Maxie's suicide attempt

I wanted to slap her with that endless pity party today!

The lack of energy in this show is astonishing, especially since our saviors are supposed to be known for that wacky, fun, amazing pacing.

The Robin and Anna scenes should have been done weeks after her return, not a day. The tone of them was as if Robin had left for Paris for a few months, not dead for years. Both of them seem strangely remote. I have rarely bought Finola's reactions to Robin or to Emma in the last few years, as she lacks all warmth or feeling, but I didn't really buy anything from KMc in this episode either. This seemed like two somewhat distant friends, or a counselor and patient, not a close mother and daughter.

Kirsten Storms was her usual whiny, apathetic self. The most interesting thing in her scenes was that damn hair in her eyes.

Carlos and Sabrina continue to act like that old In Living Color sketch about the anchorwoman who overpronounces every Hispanic name. She simultaneously manages to overact and never act. Carlos seems like a feral Jason Cook mixed with Reverend Jim from Taxi. The best I can say is at least he doesn't wax.

Whoever plays Felix continues to be one of the very, very worst actors I've ever seen on daytime. He should just hold up big signs in every scene and never speak.

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
    • I didn't think this was very good (I've never yet seen a good episode of this revival), but you do get a lot of Michael Stroka. And if you are a Donna Reed Show fan, you also get Paul Petersen.
