Just got caught up on the week.

Are Nick and Marge having a race to see who gets admitted to the loony bin first? The silly background music they have playing when Nick is working on his laptop is the most heavyhanded foreshadowing music I have heard in quite a while.

Loved the show revisiting Jack raping Kayla all those years ago. I did feel uneasy that Kayla apologized to Jen for slipping to JJ though, not that it was the wrong thing to do, but rather it downplays the trauma she went through.

The writing for Ejami is amazingly classic soap, I just I wish l liked the couple.

The Anne/Theresa alliance is fine for now, but it is precariously waivering towards stupid.

Why doesn't Nicole want to talk to Eric about what happened in the Capitol? She keeps blowing him off. Is it because Father Matt asked her not to get involved? I don't get it - can someone please explain for me please?

I love how snarky the video editor was with Kristen, supporting cast on this show are awesome. I'm really going to miss Kristen when she goes.

The show needs to tweak Allison Paige's look - it is too similar to Jen Lilley's. Yeah, so JJ has a type...

Chandler Massey is so hammy, I won't miss him if he keeps delivering performances like he did on Friday. I have no idea how he won 2 emmys when 80% of the cast on this show alone (never mind all of daytime) can act circles around him.

Overall a very good week for the show. Here's my thoughts!

1) The cast integration continues to be on spot! Great scenes this week from Marlena/Kristen (though I still want to see more!), Anne/Teresa working together to scheme against "Jenny" ( I think this is brilliant!), Rafe/EJ (especially with the confrontation and EJ's comment about "junk in a box".. good writing), Marlena/Victor, Nicole/Victor, and Will/Sonny/EJ.

2) Loved Sami's reaction to walking back in DiMansion to Stefano's portrait going back up! Classic!

3) Nicole getting back into the reporting business I think is a good idea. Although I love her being at the church, she needs more to do.

4) I LOVE the buildup to next week with Marge plotting to seek revenge! I would love to see Marge take Sami hostage and hold her in a cabin somewhere and have EJ, Will/Sonny, Marlena, the Salem PD all out to find her..

5) Love Johnny's new hair cut.

6) I love Lucas/Sami relationship as old friends who truly care about each other... we just REALLY need to see more Bryan (even though he's on recurring, if they just showed him as much as they do Victor I would be happy). I totally agree that we need Kate to use Lucas to get in between Rafe and Jordan. I could see Lucas and Jordan having a legit good connection. Let's make it happen Days.

7) I REALLY appreciate the show being true to its history with the whole JJ finding out about Jack storyline.. it's not only good drama, but also SO realistic. I love that they used real flashback footage and it is truly realistic that a coming of age teen who is already angst-ridden would be pissed and go irate about this... loving this storyline.

8) Jennifer's "yet another morning off for a personal day" has GOT to be a running joke now, even on set, I bet! haha

9) This is repetitive.. but I love seeing characters sit at the booths at the Brady Pub.. it gives us such a good break from sitting at those same tables/chairs. Nitpicky I know, but I appreciate it.

10) I may be wrong, but it appeared to me that Ali's pink streak may have been gone in Friday's episode!

11) As for Chandler.. I thought he did a really good job on Monday's show with the conflict with Nick and Sonny, and I also really enjoyed his scenes with Ali on Friday. They seem to have such a good mother/son bond that comes across on screen.. however, I agree that even though I enjoyed his scenes, Chandler does seem to be phoning it in.... not that all actors don't do that from time to time, but Chandler I think by the time this stuff has been filmed Chandler probably knew for sure he would not be renewing his contract (as this stuff was filmed right before the Daytime Emmys where Chandler announced he probably would be leaving at the end of his contract) so I bet that is what we're seeing on-screen.. at least somewhat.

I was cracking up the other day when someone (I think Theresa) asked Anne where Jennifer was, and she responded with something along the lines of that she was at home wallowing in self-pity, then they cut to a scene of Jennifer doing exactly that, mournfully staring out the window.

Again, wow, interesting stuff. Thanks! Makes me wish I had started watching DOOL sooner. My busted TV is the only reason I started watching to begin with. Weren't Rafe and Arianna brother and sister on Passions too? Lopez-Fitzgeralds?

He tried to take Arianna's purse which held evidence that Sami attempted to kill EJ. Sami confessed to Arianna that she shot EJ in the head, and Arianna taped the conversation. Will went to stop Arianna from giving that evidence to EJ and then tried to forcibly take the evidence. Arianna in the struggle lost her balance and landed in the street, which caused her death as she got hit by a car. She had extensive injuries and died. She dies trying to tell EJ the truth, while Rafe uses his familial clout to keep him out of her room and tries to hide the evidence from him. Later Nicole found it and the EJ vs. Sami war continued.

It's a shame that Arianna died, she was finally coming into her own at that point of the show and she really was the perfect rival for Sami and had tremendous chemistry with EJ. The family dynamics between her and Rafe were also incredibly interesting considering they were at odds. The character had tons of room to grow in her last three or so months.

The whole SL was beyond lame. That whole youtube clip was a primer in why Dena Higley should never be allowed near a soap - sometimes she hit gold, but mostly it was boring, lame and offensive (often all at the same time).

Did like the Kinsey mention though - she was a hoot. Loved the actress on American Horror Story too.

That was one helluva Monday episode.

It felt like a really good soap today. Nothing felt like filler.

Can someone explain what Jack had to do with Lawrence's trial? How did Jack raping Kayla factor into what happened to Jen? The set up for how JJ found out was dumb. Jack and Jen told him about a secret file that they kept right there in the living room?

Can they do something with Crishell already? I know theres a thing about slowly introducing a new character but it doesn't feel as if they've done anything with her since she joined. They need to get this story moving and she also needs to interact with the town. Basically someone other than Kate, Gabby and Rafe
