Members CBRVA83
According to the Happy New Year source from the Daytime Dish website on the OLTL message boards, PP shelving OLTL is only a cover-up because they don't know what type of business model to distribute how many episodes of both AMC and OLTL, and they also don't know what type of identity they want for the shows, whether it's the ABC version of the shows online, or in a primetime or telenova format. Members JONNYSBRO
Oltl is dead and over. Let's all move on and get on with lives. Oltl returned, and bombed. I loved the show but I have come to acceptance it's over. I don't live in a world of delusion

Members SalemPlace
That's fine for you but don't tell others how to feel. Why are you even checking this thread if you've moved on?
Members Chris B
I don't think they should call it telenovella, but they should always start smaller and go from there. Use it like a cable model. Decide how many episodes for each season (40-80 would be good IMO), then film the entire season for both shows and THEN release and promote both at the same time. Members John
Chris that is what I am thinking too. I could see this if done right, to be very profitable for PP
Members Juliajms
Isn't 40 to 80 what they just did and it didn't work? I'm not sure what the final number of episodes where for OLTL, but it doesn't seem like there were that many to start with.
Members cassadine1991
Some people want to know if ABC can take back AMC and OLTL
Members ~bl~
Yes 40 is what they did for OLTL and 43 for AMC. I think they need to figure out a release schedule and write to whatever they come up with as the swapping from 4 to 2 a week hurt momentum. If everything is to be released at one time, they need to have less than 40 some episodes (even at 30 minutes) as that will seem to be too unwieldy. Members JONNYSBRO
It doesn't matter if abc can take back oltl or Amc. They wouldn't. They are very happy with the chew. Show is a hit on a 50 percent budget.
