We're still making stupid petitions over things we don't like about TV shows in 2013? When has a petition resulted in someone's hiring or firing?

The Bells do own a percentage of YR but I think Sony owns majority, hence why Steve Kent has so much say. How much? IDK. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bells own 49, Corday that 1% (as you mentioned), and Sony 50%.

And petitions do work, just rarely in soaps. Primetime, more frequently. The ratings have to plummet to hell again before Jill is ousted.

Plus, I think she's a perfect fit for a show with big egos. Jill has no problem with firing anyone. This woman lost the legendary Bev McKinsey b/c of a loop hole in her contract and fired other numerous big daytime stars. YR needs her but I wish they'd make her Co-Executive Producer and pair her with Ed or Charles.

Why does Corday have 1%? I know they are also part of Sony but why would they own 1% let alone anything? Also, when and why did they sell 50 percent to Sony?

The problem with Y&R is Sony.

Not JFP.

Sony/CBS are the controllers of the actors and everything else on Y&R. Jill and Josh are merely puppets and yes ma'am, yes sir to Sony and CBS. Their power is limited and restricted.

I don't have much issue with JFP. I think she has done what needed to be done on the show. Now the stories are the problem...disjointed with no momentum...they feel almost cowardly in ending which makes them uninteresting.

From what I heard alot of backstage politics played into it. It wasn't simply she got fired and her fangurls petitioning for her job back. At one point the police had to be brought in because of death threats

The thing is does anyone remember the boycott of oltl in 1999 with calling JFP fired. Not only did ratings increase JFP kept her job there three years before getting the major promotion at Gh ousting Wendy Riche. Jill was at Gh for 11 freaking years cause she knew how to play the game. I remember hearing Jill was bosum buddies with Angela Shapiro and then frons adored her and now Steve kent. This woman will step over anything and everything. She's a major bitch isn't that known.

I don't care about her one way or the other but she's a bbitch because she knows how to keep getting work? If she was a man I think some would be hailing her for working her jobs and always landing on her feet. Dont think she's a major bitch for that.
