The reports were making it sound like he was living a double life of sorts, partying it up in Canada and keeping on the straight and narrow with Lea and friends in LA. How hard it must have been if he felt like he couldn't even open up about his most recent struggles with Lea and the rest of his friends. I read they were supposed to get married in a few weeks too. I met Cory at a couple of parties when he lived here in Victoria,but could never call him a friend. Still, he genuinely always seemed like a really sweet guy. I got to meet him a few times and he was always really nice and seemed like he was a great friend to those around him. Addiction is a terrible thing, even after many years in recovery. VIctoria's not all that big a city, especially when you runin some of the same circles and are the same age. (Oh and to answer Graham--yes I think he was pretty assuredly straight....)
