He was a very good looking guy. It is a damn shame his life had to end this way.

So incredibly sad. The reports were making it sound like he was living a double life of sorts, partying it up in Canada and keeping on the straight and narrow with Lea and friends in LA. How hard it must have been if he felt like he couldn't even open up about his most recent struggles with Lea and the rest of his friends. I read they were supposed to get married in a few weeks too.

No big shock--this was released tonight in Canada. I met Cory at a couple of parties when he lived here in Victoria,but could never call him a friend. Still, he genuinely always seemed like a really sweet guy.

not shocking at all, and very sad. He was open about having a serious drug issue and I figured this is what it was. I got to meet him a few times and he was always really nice and seemed like he was a great friend to those around him. Addiction is a terrible thing, even after many years in recovery. My heart breaks for Lea.

Yeah--very much pre Glee (although I do--somewhat know his agent as well, through another actor.) VIctoria's not all that big a city, especially when you runin some of the same circles and are the same age. (Oh and to answer Graham--yes I think he was pretty assuredly straight....)

How did they determine his cause of death so soon when I see in other cases it takes weeks for a toxicology report to come in? I think Whitney Houston's was over a month post-death

They said due to all the questioning that it was rushed. That's all I know. You would think it would be for Whitney too but maybe her survivors didn't want it to be.
