Oh, man. The Covin Factor strikes again. The only thing entertaining about Hunter was the cunnilingus sign. However, when Rebecca B. started out as Greenlee (an actual Agnes creation, BTW), she was a forever miserable bee-yotch. Maybe Hunter can be re-imagined as a male Greenlee? With better characterisation, maybe Covin can be saved. There doesn't seem to be much of the Hunter-archetype on American soaps, so there's a niche.

...or a re-cast, of course.

He's another mean teen jock on a soap for a teen storyline - he'll come and go and that's the end of it. No need to worry about it.

The dick Hunter is hot but he can't spell that word or say it. He's also, is he gay?

MiMo's friend isn't gay. She has her eyes on AJ, Idk if they'll work. I'd rather have Celia and AJ but anything is better than MiMo leading on AJ.

JR sucks. Sorry but he does. Cara is conveniently showing up. DW has gotten worse as an actor and I don't buy a public press conference wouldn't be grilling David. [!@#$%^&*] shot someone and aided in killing his daughter and drugged people and this [!@#$%^&*] press letting him lead a live interview. Talk about propping. mad.gif

Petey is hot. Celia's a bore. I LOL when Opal said the pokey.laugh.png

DW has gotten better and he was already brilliant to begin with. 2 Emmy's, Just won a NAACP Image award in 2011 and was nominated in 2012 for an Emmy for his work on AMC. I am guessing you never liked him to begin with or are not capable of seeing brilliant award winning talents in the legendary career as Jesse Hubbard. He is so great.

Well gee David you seem to think you're some kind of god "I cured Angie Hubbard's blindness singlehandedly" blah blah. no wonder I can't stand David. Hey David your bad outweighs your good

Having the press conference at Jane's was lame, but I guess there are no other sets. We need the Valley Inn.

The guy in Celia's head is credited as Shadow Man. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0725708/

That's one of the bright spots of having the show take a longer break than originally planned. Now they have time to build the Valley Inn sets, Bianca's house and hopefully some Chandler Enterprises and Cortland Electronics offices.

I try not to get hung up on the Hulu rankings but it's nice to see AMC in the #2 spot.

Yes, it is!tongue.png

I agree and I know its summer blah blah blah but its still great to see AMC at 2 today and OLTL was 3 yesterday. People are watching and at the very least its good spin for PP to give advertisers. Also good to see that whatever show is on its off day has the prior ep hanging tight around 9 or 10. I'm thinking maybe some fans that weren't inclined to watch both are trying to support the whole venture.

I'm one of those fans who originally was going to skip OLTL but I'm watching it now to support PP.

I had no problems with Hulu but perhaps it's because I'm watching late afternoons/early evenings these days?

I could imagine Miranda pushing AJ toward Heather hoping that it will relieve whatever romantic feelings AJ may have toward but then not wanting AJ to actually have feelings for Heather. Heather's not bad to me, but the actress might be straining a bit too much, she needs to relax with her delivery a bit. Funny, her scenes with Celia were better, I think.

AJ doesn't bother me, although he does remind me of every character that Andrew McCarthy played during the 80s (I get a very strong Pretty in Pink vibe from the actor).

Hunter...no comment.

Funny...I thought Jesse was understated in his reaction to seeing his stepdaughter (is she being portrayed as his daughter too now?) in that porn.

I actually like Lea Marquez. I actually appreciate the fact that AMC is making the effort to make Law Enforcement proceed with some intelligence. I hate it when soaps make the Police look like Keystone Cops. Y&R did this a lot and toward the end of ATWT, they were one of the biggest offenders.

David's press conference? Hm, I'm a bit torn. On its face, it seems preposterous that he could organize a press conference on such short notice and inside a coffee shop. It would've made a bit more sense to do it outside (and then get a ticket for filming/assembly without a permittongue.png ).

I can almost appreciate the fact that David is clearly trying to force the Cortland's hand by going to the press--this is a tactic that venture capitalists, rogue shareholders and corporate raiders use repeatedly. Although, they usually do it by either going to the Business or Tech Section of a major publication or appearing on CNBC. It's not so far fetched in that regard.

Having watched an episode of The Have and the Have Nots (*shudders*), I appreciate the pace, flow and writing of AMC a bit more today.

AT and Daniel Covin should have an "act off" with the loser/winner both never even thinking about acting again.

I watched that last night too and it left me praying to black Agnes for forgiveness that I ever complained about the AMC sets.Miranda can hang out in AJ's room for as long as she wants, so long as I never have to see the overdone stereotype of the poor black family that lives in some chanty-shack apartment with no food in the cupboards and is headed by a maitronly black woman who speaks like an escaped slave and is employed as a maid of course. Black Agnes be praised; may they never darken AMC's door with that crap.

he didn't bring them back to life as they never died. He did kidnap them and let their families believe they were dead, while he ran illegal experiments on them for his unauthorized research

I actually didn't think Covin was half bad in this ep at all. He played that joke to perfection; I was amused/disgusted. Now the guys in his crew on the other hand? And the steroids drug dealer? LOL.

Lol at todays Hulu masthead tongue.png

Yea, unfortunately I don't see anything in Covin that would rise to the challenge if his character had deeper writing. He'd have to go away for a good year and study acting or something.

But I don't really see the concern from some like Khan on here. I don't see them considering him as a character they were eventually gonna flesh out or anything (and surely by this point someone at the show has realized not to give him much material.......)
