Vincent Irizarry is just hot, period. I don't care who he's with. I'd watch him have sex scenes with almost anyone and probably think it was sexy. :P

David and Erica's sex scenes were insanely hot for how prudish AMC was in general. I'm looking forward to watching David get some against a door.

I didn't think Anna was necessarily out of place in PV, and I actually did enjoy her with David. I'm just kind of amused by the David/Cara fans who insist that these characters who, when AMC ended, had slept together once and looked at clouds together and barely knew each other were going to live happily ever after somehow. Erica and Anna were both really strong women who didn't take much crap from men and who had their own moral guidelines that didn't always match everyone else's, but neither one of them could handle David's inability to tell the truth. Given that Cara spent most of her last run on AMC crying, I don't yet see her as much of a match for David long-term. I guess we shall see though.

I thought David and Anna had great chemistry, and their scenes were also well-written, layered. She was investigating him while falling for him and she needed him to be her rock while he needed her as well as the problems with Vanessa escalated. He was trying to be a better person. They fell in love. I started watching just as they were getting put in story together. AMC was my introduction to Finola Hughes and Anna Devane, so to me I still think of her as an AMC and GH character equally.

I think fans had felt Anna was out of place on AMC before Richard Culliton started writing, but once he did, and he put her with David, and had her doing cop work, everything clicked for the character. Finola Hughes also finally felt like the writers got the character of Anna. Then on top of that once she was surrounded by the extended Hayward/duPres/Kenyon(Shepherd)/Stone family it worked even more!

I think Anna and David could have lasted a long time ... I see the same possibility for David and Cara. Like Anna, Cara won't put up with BS from him but also like Anna, she also knows that David is not a bad person.

    • Above, I said "Vanessa needs to go to therapy to find ways to remain healthfully lusty and sex-positive, but to stay away from anyone who would demean her." Now adding onto that thought, I would clarify that sometimes I think Vanessa fools around for fun in a positive way.    But other times I sense that she's actually unconsciously trying to demean herself as way of numbing some inner pain -- it's hard to explain what I mean.  Sort of like... sometimes people drink for fun. But other times, people drink  in a self-destructive way, in order to drown out some inner pain. So I think she needs therapy about all of that.
    • A lot of these episodes are available on YT. The rape storyline starts around February or March of 1979 and Roger's demise is sometime in March 1980. The stuff from before 1979 is close to non exisitent, unfortunately.
    • Maeve Kinkead was on from 1980-1988 (left in January); 1989-2000 (went recurring 1996-97); 2002 -For Josh /Reva's Wedding; 2005 (appearances in May and December) back regularly from Feb 2006-end Maureen Garrett was on from 1976-80; 1988-2006 (recurring from 2003 on); 2009 Michael Zaslow was on/off from 1971-1980 with breaks in between but usually made an appearance every year then again 1989-1997. There is a youtube commercial  Guiding Light in 1968

    • Holly's final big story was the Sebastian mess in late 2004.   Vanessa and Matt were promoted to regulars near the end and were heavily recurring prior to that starting around 2007/2008.
    • Keith has a softer presence, but it would have helped to see him be more aggressive or proactive in protecting them instead of standing around like a mannequin. A man the audience should be hoping and wishing gets back together with his wife. Nicole needs a new husband!
    • She needs to learn to be honest with her husband about her lusty interests because being sex positive only works if you're not cheating on your spouse.

    • Very disappointed in the writers in the way they are screwing with Nicole, Ted,  and Kat to make Leslie remain viable. So many holes everywhere.
    • Somebody brought this up elsewhere which emphasizes why this NuTed appears as such a weakling. Why is Kat doing what HE should be doing? And that's everything he can to rid him and his family of this crazy woman. Kat is doing all kinds of things she shouldn't do but now I understand her more. She can't count on her father to eliminate this woman because he's a wimp. He's been too busy inviting her into his home and serving her drinks and offering her invitations to birthday parties. WIMP!!!!
