Y&R: Discussion for the Month of March

I haven't liked Lauren this much in years. This is how I've wanted to see Lauren for years now. Hopefully it doesn't end anytime soon.

Did they address Dr. Kostner's previous history on the show? I missed his first few minutes but it seemed almost like they didn't know each other.

That's an interesting poster. I wonder what's going to happen. And why is Tyler mixed in? Has he even shared scenes with the Newmans outside of helping Nick promote the club? I like the actor and character but can't remember a connection.

I don't even watch, and I get warm and fuzzy thinking of Michael's pain when he finds out. Those guttersnipe grifter Fishers destroy everything they come in contact with. I loved Michael until they trashed him for Gloria.

Here's to hoping Lauren and Carmine (right) christen every flat surface at the athletic club! Lauren was ruined by the Fishers too, but she is now being redeemed. I may have to set the DVR :)

I don't even think they address that he was a past character in today's epi. I would've thought he was a regular dayplayer doctor.

Previews for showed Michael interrupting Lauren's orgasms. But I don't think he'll find out soon.

I feel like Nikki's only in this ad because she has to be since it's her wedding and all. What's with Y&R's crazy focus on men lately?

That's what JFP does, women are only doormats for the men

The women have been doormats for men for years on this show. The main doormat is the one in that ad! Nikki stayed with Victor after he compared her to his dog.

I skimmed today because SOC was in full meltdown that Lauren slept with Carmine again and I wanted to see Leigh. I had such a crush on Leigh when he was on GH and Santa Barbara. He looks great. He has aged wonderfully.

The music is so shitty! It almost ruined Lauren and Carmine going at it for me. We should have gotten long scene with a shirtless Carmine. Michael banging at the door in the preview was hilarious. Too bad it is too soon for him to find out.

Victor must have a tab at his jewelers. He has given so much jewelry to various wives and women.

Alex, oh so yummy as usual.

Wait a minute, you are the same person ripping the chick who plays Caroline on B&B to pieces because she cannot act. I cannot wait to see how you explain your tolerance Kyle and not Caroline when both actors are horrific. LOL!

Kyle Jenkins is a pivotal legacy character. Caroline Spencer Jr is an ill-conceived, unnecessary, insipid character played by an actress with some of the most eye roll-inducing facial expressions in daytime history who serves no purpose but to make Hope look interesting by comparison.

So you can tolerate a third-rate excuse for an actor playing an important legacy character, but not one playing a disposable character? You are destined to be a soap casting director. You would fit right in.

I don't think Blake Hood is a third-rate excuse for an actor. He's not Greg Rikaart/Thad Luckinbill/Michael Graziadei standard but he's decent and (IMO) the right actor for the role.

Kyle is a pivotal legacy character? Since when? He could dissapear like Keemo and no one would notice.

He's the son of Jack Abbott and Diane Jenkins. You don't get much more pivotal than that. Just because one of Jack's sons has been ignored doesn't mean the other one should be.

I just don't buy Blake Hood as Peter Bergman's son. Not only is Hood a terrible actor, he has absolutely no spark or chemistry with the actors around him.

Diane Jenkin's isn't exactly a pivitol character. And Jack held his own for years without children onscreen. Sorfy but Kyle is not pivitol.

I don't know how you can even type that. Kyle is an important, a pivotal character. He is John Abbott's grandson and Jack's only son (the only one the show recognizes). Jack won't be around forever which makes his son even more vital for the survival of the Abbotts, especially with Colleen dead and Abby, Billy, and his many offspring designated as practically Newmans by the various TPTB. The way things are going Kyle is and will be last Abbott standing which is why he should be played by a much better actor than that the terrible actor currently in the role.

My thoughts exactly. He doesn't even have father/son chemistry with PB. PB and HK are carrying him in his scenes while he blinks blandly.

Speaking of bland Dylan is the blandest character onscreen. I often forget he was on right after watching an epi. No one but fangurls care about his dying father.

No Jack is a pivitol character. What the hell has Kyle done to be pivitol?

So much +1

For anyone to deny the important that Diane Jenkins and, especially, Kyle Abbott have (and should have) is ridiculous.
