Basically, All My Children is just as shelved as OLTL until they have the money to produce the show. I just hate they threw OLTL under the bus by arguing that AMC has (slightly) higher ratings and was in better shape creatively. I think that things are basically how they were when the shows were at a stand still before. Only time knows if Prospect Park is seriously working to bring these shows back or if they'll stay like this forever. The positive is that if they DO ever return, Prospect Park has experienced enough trial and error to hopefully know what will work.

And funny how she is saying if fans r pissed they need to shelve out the money to fund AMC & OLTL. She says those words but she aint putting her money out either. STFU Hinsey

PP didn't do that however. They "threw OLTL under the bus" by claiming the lawsuit was the problem. Whether AMC was in better shape creatively is obviously a matter of opinion but the ratings being better, however "slightly", is a fact.

As for Hinsey, that's just her climbing up inside TK's colon. Not surprising. She spends so much time there I'm surprised she doesn't call it her summer home. Is anyone out there actually attacking these actors for taking other jobs? Is that a thing that's really happening?

Not that I've seen. I've seen the typical crazed "zen" fans saying they'll never accept a recast for Zach or that they won't watch AMC without him because they were hoping Kendall would come back, and if Zach is gone then AMC had better say that he left Pine Valley, reunited with Kendall, and they're living happily ever after or something along those lines. Granted, I don't hang out on the official AMC FB page, but the response I've seen on other boards and AMC fan pages has been that they're sad he's left, but they understand why, they hope the door is left open for Zach to come back at some point, and they wish him well. Some of TK's fans are saying they'll watch B&B now because he's on it.

I'm sure someone has been saying that about Kaye, but most fans have not. Hinsey just seems to be looking for a reason to do what she has loved doing for decades - condescending to fans and trying desperately to convince people that she is superior. It's embarrassing that even as soap fans have dwindled down to nothing, our soap "press" still needs to act like they are superior beings.

I just PP would make an announcement that's it's all over so we all can move on with our lives. It's clear it's never happening they weren't money makers.

PP isn't keeping anyone from moving on. Those who want to step out know where the door is. They just need to walk through it.

Does anyone know if the lawsuite is even being looked over right now? It bothers me more that we have not heard anything new about that yet. How long does it take for the judge or whoever to look it over.

The wheels of justice turn slowly.

Actually, there will be a lot of negotiation toward a settlement between the parties, and they'll only go to court if they can't work out a deal. My assumption is that they're in negotiations now. If they do reach a settlement, we may never know the exact terms, as a gag order is sometimes included as part of the deal.

How about you go and tell everyone how Jean Passanate and Shelly Altman are Y&R's saviors instead of being condescending to the fans of these soaps who still have some hope

As much as I want to let go, I can't.

I need my Jesse/Angie, Kendall (yes, I'm holding on to hope for that), Miranda/AJ, and Hunter, the best white teen boy on any soap in the annals of history.

I'll completely give up if we don't hear anything by January. We're moving into holiday season so between that and half the cast giving birth to babies, I'm just going to assume that whatever news we get won't come until then.

Uhm how is this person being condescending? Have hope, no one said you couldn't. The ones who attack posters who don't kowtow to PP are the ones that tick me off

  • Member

Yes, we're all kowtowing. Thank you for your reasonable analysis of any positivity for these programs.

I realize you think everyone thinks like you, where social media and the soap blogosphere is the whole world and there's either Team A or B, but most of us just don't give a [!@#$%^&*].

Ok Whats the point of PP talking now. Unless they can defintley say the shows begin production on X date and can back that up, there is no reason to speak now. Just let them figure it out. Hell even when they do announce a date some wont buy it til filming starts and some not until episodes air. So its a lose-lose for them anyway. JMO
