I don't want her.back unless storyline dictates a guest appearance like how primetime does guest stints

I just can't imagine how storyline would dictate an Emma return without Ryan/Greenlee or Annie on canvas. Just my opinion though. And without them, if "storyline dictated" a new teen, Emma is no different than any other new character they would dream up. I do think the show, in this format, is really almost at capacity on young people though save for recasting Hunter or an additional high school age guy.

I have no use for any Lavery to return, although I think Cameron Mathison is a sweet, sweet guy IRL and a great ambassador for AMC. I would welcome a guest appearance from him, but absolutely nothing else.

I'd be far more interested in Rebecca Budig doing a short-term stint as a divorced, scheming Greenlee, back on the warpath to raise hell like she did in the old days. But that, again, is something I wouldn't want to see for a while yet. Like many other past airhogs on both TOLN shows, Greenlee needs a llllooonnnggg break.

As for the clip:

That is Tad if I ever heard him. Very poorly dubbed in and it looks like they shot at MEK's house. I hope that's not the cliffhanger.

That was DEFINITELY bad dubbing and a body double lol

Agreed- I feel like they want us to be SO excited about that and I'm mostly kind of appalled.

Oh, hell, I'm excited anyway. It looks terribly dubbed and shot, but

even though I don't think he should be a regular again, I will enjoy seeing Tad again if he's used judiciously.

I'm sure I'll get there too, my grandma and mom adored him so the nostalgia factor is high for me- I was just so into the Dixie/Anders stuff last week that I wish we had a little more of that to build on before the inevitable Tad return. And really I can't say I've missed him or thought about Tad too much the past few months. But a lot of people have been clamoring for him back and I give them mad props for dangling him out there in the finale to make MEK's fans want to tune back in for S2 whenever that is.

Looks good! Hope Tad has a shorter haircut and a better wardrobe when he returns.

I think it's necessary for

him to appear - he and Dixie are supposedly in a committed relationship, and Tad is a fan favorite. I will enjoy seeing him too.

But the Tad of the last, oh...16? years or more still needs a long lie-down. There are ways to make Tad work on the canvas, Lindsay Hartley proved that. But I need him in limited doses, and I need the writing not to sanctify him and the Martins as it used to. That's something that concerns me more than a little about the new team of old writers taking over. Tad has been a sad, overweight clown one joke from a homemade noose for years, but they still treated him like a heroic stud. That's got to change. It's what I've said about Tad, Erica, Kendall, you name it - use them, but use them properly and sparingly without re-balancing the show around them.

I really look forward to seeing Tad, but I want him to be subject to the new show and its new paradigm, not vice versa. And sooner or later that is going to mean breaking down Tad and Dixie for Anders just as Angie and Jesse are being broken down (and probably rebuilt later). Embrace change.

Why do you want Emma Lavery back?

She grew up with AJ and Miranda and it would be cool to see them interact and also just to have another main girl teen besides Miranda. I also think it would be interesting to see if she's anything like the psycho mother she grew up with. Girl had a rough, traumatizing childhood.

AMC letting Melissa Egan go was a terrible, terrible showkilling mistake - and she's horribly boring on Y&R, playing the bland pre-crazy version of Annie by another name. But Annie is the only element in that equation that I cared about. Emma and Ryan, not at all.
