Once again, very wrong here. I speak for nobody but myself and have rights to opinions as all posters do. But yes, there are message boards on sites who do not agree with posters here on this site. They have their own interpretations based on their own facts whether true or not. I don't speak for actors or Agnes Nixon either. There are posters here on this board who ignore posters here on this board and I picked up on that BEFORE I decided to join in the fray. Message board bullies and obvious cliques too BEFORE I decided to jump in. I have been reading this board for quite some time now so to get an idea and indication on who is on the board and how they feel in their own opinions BEFORE signing up. But I can take it and its all good anyway. All message boards have their thing, to include AMC official FB, Hulu comment sections, IMDb among others. This one here is only 1 of many out there.

There is much more reading than actual posting on the SoapNet boards, including the AMC board. Only a couple of handfuls here at the AMC board posting with regularity. Somewhat limited and restricted.

But that would mean that I would be controlled and have to succumb to peer pressure which I will never do. Pushing one's buttons sparks conversation and debate and it is all good. I never appease board posters just to satisfy them and coddle/cater to their wishes and whims. I am fearless.

As someone who kind of jumped into posting regularly here when the PP soaps were launched, I really have seen no bullying /cliqueishness in the AMC/OLTL threads and just need to say how much I've enjoyed posting here this spring/summer. Its refreshing to find a board where most viewers have long history with the shows and such insightful opinions- its markedly different and superior to the AMC FB or Hulu commenters who ask why the show isn't on TV and when Tad is coming back 400 times a day. There is also no other place that seems to be truly rooting for these shows to succeed as much as posters here- so if that's a clique, I'll happily join. In the OLTL thread last week, we talked about the positives and negatives of various regimes and I think it was the best conversation I've ever had about the show & triggered a lot of good memories. I know I enjoy reading other people's opinions and getting responses to my own- maybe even moreso when they differ from my own- people feeling strongly proves the shows are doing something right & makes for good conversation. Weighing in critically on Jesse/Angie or the David/Angie friendship does not equal bullying. You clearly have a really long history with the show and an attachment to Angie & Jesse and I can appreciate that- I think here, more than most boards/places, you'll find that people totally understand having an emotional attachment to these shows and these characters and their history. I think if you would be somewhat willing to engage in substantive conversation on their story, rather than asking anyone who is critical of this fictional character's behavior why they hate Jesse or repeatedly stating that Agnes created him, # 1 supercouple etc, you might find the board to be a much more hospitable place. I'm not trying to at all infringe on the freedom of speech that you often mention, just saying that a willingness to at least listen to and maybe acknowledge the points of others in a non-accusatory way is always a good thing on these types of forums.

Interesting that the party scene is mentioned.

Remember those photos that someone posted (I think) way back when and people were guessing that it might be Brooke and Adam's wedding?

I think it might have been for that benefit for the Miranda Center, now that I think about it.

My favorite points are:

"Now, he is on every episode of the soap that launched Susan Lucci."

and

"On "All My Children," Nelsen plays exactly the kind of convolutedrole you expect from a soap opera as A.J. Chandler, whose motherdied protecting him and whose alcoholic father would marry hisaunt."

First I would like to know who the editor in chief is because I am curious why the journalists don't proof read there work. Second, I said "Favorite Points" in the sense that those are the points I hated the most. He is not on EVERY EPISODE. They are talking about this as if it were a bad Primetime show!! You are not featured on EVERY EPISODE on a soap!!!! Second, If you are a journalist and you can't seem to proofread your article or actually believe "Convolutedrole" is a compound word you have no right calling ANYTHING convoluted. I rest my case.

Sorry John!!! I am just sensitive when it comes to people talking smack about Soaps! That New York Times review is still haunting me in my dreams.....

    • It was reported that Jane Wyman absence in the final season was due to health (it's documented that Jane was diabetic) but I believe her episodes being cut was a budget mode move. Similar move Dallas pulled in its final season, it was reported that Barbara Bel Geddes retired due to health (it's documented that Barbara had a heart condition) but I say salary dump. Jane Wyman only acted once after Falcon Crest, a 1993 episode of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, but she lived another 14 years after that. Barbara Bel Geddes did not act again after her last episode of Dallas in 1990 but she lived another 15 years after that. The trifecta of suck at Lorimar was Les Moonves, Leonard Katzman, and Michael Filerman. It was a pattern across all three CBS primetime soaps in the off the rails plus budget mode era to salary dump the long-time female cast members and bring on sweet young things hired on the cheap.
    • To be fair, more than half of them are dead now.
    • Kat may be a privileged elitist but that's not entirely true.  Kat first met Eva when Eva was snooping at Nicole's desk, so Kat's first impression of Eva wasn't very good.  Plus, Kat's instinct to not trust Eva was 100% right.  Kat's attitude toward Eva had nothing to do with Eva not "bowing" down to Kat, and her feelings toward her half-sister is very justified......minus the making fun of Eva's clothes of course.
    • They said that this has metastasized to his bones, but the type of "aggressive" prostate cancer he has is actually very common and is treatable, or at least manageable. So the headline is misleading.   Apparently this type of cancer is hormonal which makes it somewhat treatable? But still, of course, sad.  Thinking of him and his loved ones.
    • Kat is a spoiled brat princess and Silk Press Sheila called her out on it.  Silk Press Sheila is someone not to mess with. I was actually scared for Kat when she was alone with Silk Press Sheila and recording their conversation.
    • It is funny that Stephanie and Philip still hide/blush/get embarrassed at the sight of each other.  Meanwhile, Kate's pouring coffee for Rafe at the pub as if they're only casual acquaintances.  Although, if Kate blushed every time she saw one of her former lovers, she'd be permanently red.
    • Great thought.  I mostly forgot about Kate's cancer.
    • I figured because Kate received her cancer treatment at the hospital that she decided to “give back” by being on the board.
    • Someone posted years ago that they remember Pamela Peters (Peggy) was having some sort of issues behind the scenes during the rape storyline and barely participated onscreen when it played out. Trish Stewart (Chris) seemed to carry most of the storyline along with Dick DeCoit (Ron) and David Hasselhoff (Snapper). I think the poster also mentioned that Anthony Hererra (Jack) said that Pamela Peters one day looked into the camera and exclaimed she didn't know what she was doing and walked out of the scene.
