HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

The PP news seems to be moving slow lately. I wonder what's going on.

This story leaked on December 17th. It's been three weeks. I'm not sure what you're expecting. Even if all of this is real, we're not going to get all the information in a couple of weeks.

I dont see that as a big deal. Shows usually announce info to TV Line Deadline, EW etc . NBC doesnt just release on their site Press releases everyday about their shows. The entertainment sites do it 4 them. I see what PP does as the same thing.

Right and we got more info last week. The EP's The studio news The Unions being set & that PP & WGA are talking & WGA wants a deal in place. Two actors announced they are doing AMC. I highly assume other actors have agreed to do OLTL & AMC but may be holding off announcements until everything else is settled.

I think PP should make a deal with SoapNET to air their reboots of AMC & OLTL

I think PP would be better off talking to E!.

A network that is not even carried on a lot of cable packages anymore?

Hell.

They'd be better going to Animal Planet and recasting every role with a dog, cat or Komodo dragon.

So Starr and McBain wouldn't have to be recasted! :)

That gives me an idea. I have always noticed how people look like there pets so maybe I can find animals that resemble the cast and Photoshop them into an old cast photo!

LOL

Kendall can be played by a greyhound.

"The role of Kendall will now be played by Zippy."

Zach: How do you want it tonight, baby?

Kendall: Ruff!

Just remembered I don't have photoshop...that doesn't mean I can do head shots though! Do you have any suggestions?

JL's Opal always reminded me of an ostrich. What would La Kane be?

BTW, a soap opera with an all-animal cast sounds like something Rose Nylund would love. She once told of Hamlet with an all-chicken cast, I believe.
