As irritated as I still am that OLTL got a second life on GH while AMC was left out in the cold, I am so glad PP isn't stuck negotiating with GH/ABC and the actors over the rights to David Hayward.

I am thrilled for that. I wasn't bothered that Carlivati didn't try to co-opt AMC because I truly feel like he is 100% the wrong person to ever go near Pine Valley. AMC goes on to its next phase without any of the influence this man inflicted on OLTL or GH and I couldn't be more grateful.

I couldn't see Ron writing AMC. Ever. His writing style would not fit at all.

He really was. Though I enjoyed portions of his vision, I hated how he couldn't devise good SLs for strong women like Margo, Kim, Lisa, Jessica, etc.

I could not disagree more if I tried. If they ever do a Trassions reboot, RC is your man, but serious soaps? He needs to stay far away. FAR FAR AWAY! Lifers are probably happy to have that hack gone. I envy them. Ron should go with the 3! Frank too!

Rhino I wish RC/FV never would have stepped foot on GH because then it would have BEEN FREAKING CANCELLED. Why don't you have some gratitiude the show is still getting all this buzz/acclaim and attention and is still on the air. That is a miracle in instelf. Honestly I don't think Ron/Frank are that upset OLTL is going on without them. They loved the show but they are getting paid more money on network TV plus GH is a bigger higher profile show then OLTL. U don't think all along back in 2000 JFP was angling for the GH executive producing job when she was at OLTL. She practically did whatever she could to get in AS's good graces. Higher ratings, demos and emmy nods for OLTL ousted Riche out of her job in 9 years and Jill raced to GH without hestitaion. I think its actually good for OLTL to have some newer blood influence to take it in a different direction, I am really happy they gave Horgan the job at OLTL. I wouldn't be surprised if Sheffer was co-head writer at AMC, he has gone on to say AMC is one of his favorites. I actually think Maria Arena Bell also stated AMC was the show she watched growing up.
