Members dragonflies
I"m not yet convinced that if they build it all that many will come, but we'll see. I think all this stuff with the GH3 is not helping matters any, and funny how alot of people who were against these 3 on GH are suddenly all for it because of how PP is coming across in this. The "oh we pay ABC millions of dollars" crap made them look petty and douchy
Members marceline
I'll be intrigued to see who ends up in the role of Cassandra. Yaya did nothing for me. I've seen her in so many things where she's been really good but I just wasn't feeling her in that role.

Members rhinohide
Yeah. Well, your research, as always, is highly unscientific and if all you really care about is the OLTL3 you might not really get what I'm trying to say here. This is a lot bigger than a couple of aging soap stars. But whatevs. You are hoping that OLTL fails because you want GH/ABCD to be rewarded for picking the bones of a soap ABCD threw away to begin with. But the company that's trying to put multiple actors and many crew members back to work and several writers etc., should just start giving away valuable assets to GH because you want them and you decided they weren't important to the PP project. the sense of entitlement is mind boggling. and Po Po Michael Easton and Roger Howarth. May have to take a few weeks or months off before they can get back to work as new characters on GH. Breaks my heart. But many performers who have been out of work for over a year aren't that important to you. The success of the venture they're embarking on isn't worthy of the best shot it can get. So PP should just start giving things away regardless of how "essential" they may be to their success in PP's estimation (not the people who don't care if they succeed or not). Members Wendy
Huh? So if YOU paid millions to use characters a network threw away, but then that same network tries to play "give backsies" to what is now rightfully yours, it is being douchey for rightfully claiming that ownership? If anything, FV/RC look like imbeciles with a combined IQ of 4 and should be put back in their playpen and suck it up like professionals and give back characters they have no ownership towards. Members John
Ok If PP & ABC cant agree & PP recasts Starr, How about Robyn Richards (Maxie, GH: 1993-2004)
Members Vee
"16-18" for A.J. and Miranda? Come on now. Skew it 14-16 like Molly and the original Kristina on GH and let them grow. I don't care who they get if they have to recast the adults, because unless Jon Hensley is playing J.R. and Noelle Beck is Bianca that ain't gonna fly! Members DRW50
If it really does take this outrage of outrages from PP to make people give a [!@#$%^&*] about the OLTL people on GH, that doesn't say much for those three, or of the writing and producing of our saviors. Webmaster Errol Posted February 3, 2013 Webmaster Share Posted February 3, 2013 Next time I decide to post in this thread, I'll make sure to start carrying disclaimers. I didn't say I was posting an article on anything "today" (er, yesterday). I said I was "preparing" to write one. Note: This isn't in response to anyone in this thread. Members ranger1rg
Seriously, does anyone really expect a lot of people to pay for / follow these soaps online? I just don't see it happening. If OLTL and AMC were returning to television, I could see all these pages and pages of posts. But online? No.

Webmaster Errol Posted February 3, 2013 Webmaster Share Posted February 3, 2013 Can I turn your question around? (and my response isn't necessarily directed to you) "Seriously, does anyone really expect a lot of people to pay for / follow these soaps on television?" It happened once, it'll happen again. Whether AMC/OLTL are successfully transitioned from television to the web, that's yet to be determined, but the reality is that TV and Movie viewing online is the way of the future. I personally watch every ABC, FOX, NBC and CW show (that I like ) that's on Hulu Plus via my iPad, Xbox 360 or iPhone. I know plenty of others that do as well, including my mother, who watched the presidential inauguration on NBC News' App via her iPhone, while watching it on CNN on TV. She also watches the ABC Player from time to time. BTW, my mother is 64 years old and she did much of the work on her own...I just provided her with the iPhone. The reality is television is evolving and no one is now obligated to sit down and watch hours and hours worth of programming live or via DVR. You can now watch a show you missed live yesterday the next morning while getting ready for work/school or on the train/bus while traveling to work/school. Will it cost you money? Sure, to an extent (Hulu.com is free, Hulu Plus is not). But do you not pay for cable/satellite? Heck, do you not pay to get online in the first place? If people were paying for an episode of a show like SoapCity forced people to do back in the day or if they pay for episodes via iTunes, I'd get the dilemma. If cost is a true factor, you can hook up your PC/MAC to a TV as big as you want as long as it connects via VGA or HDMI. You'll get to watch AMC/OLTL free of charge. You only have to pay for Hulu Plus if you wish to watch through external devices without requiring a connection to a PC/MAC.

Members Chris B
Errol, I agree with everything you said. Plus, look at Netflix--they spent 100 million on House of Cards and it's paying off. Everybody is talking about it and chances are it'll be a success. They were able to get top talent for that show, yet everybody acts like OLTL on the "internet" is public access tv. This is a big deal, just like Arrested Development on Netflix or House of Cards or the other shows being developed for these platforms.
