EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

For whatever it's worth, Foz McDermott is back on Twitter. Hoping for some behind the scenes dirt eventually. He doesn't seem to bear a grudge against Prospect Park, although he says he has a story or 3 to tell.

Really didn't like the character Brot

I loved Brot and Natalia, but they had a happy ending. You don't need them, at least right now. If I was the show, I'd focus on either begging Cornelius Smith to come back part time or somehow finding another perfect Frankie. I've already made my feelings clear on recasting Randi as well - putting aside the previous actress and the writing, that character is an untapped goldmine which has been pissed on from the start.

They could also definitely bring back Maya, but with really insubstantial last-minute characters like that the question is if you really need them versus marking out territory with someone new in a similar role on the canvas.

That's one reason I thought it was very smart to look for a Cassandra Foster, as they are apparently doing. That character is another goldmine that was wasted. They tossed Yaya Dacosta aside and I thought she was very decent in that role, which could've been a counterpoint to Natalia or Randi. Yaya's also gone on to some great character work in films and television - they didn't know what they had.

Someone on SOC said this about J.R. Martinez

I met JR Martinez at a book signing last week. I asked him if he was coming back to AMC and he said he would be there the first week and then maybe make guest appearances to support the fans and the show. It might be Brot.

Maybe they're getting more people than we realize to sort of re-stage that final cliffhanger scene? That or he just flat out lied to this fan lol.
