HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

One person is far from the only problem with this [!@#$%^&*] thread.

Remember when you were fun?

Your right. I really got carried away and I will stop, which is why I am going to take a break. I have a learning disability as stated earlier and this particular one I have makes it difficult for me to see weather I am going to far or not. Now I understand I am so I am going to take a break until I feel I can handle this board. When I come back I will be a better/stronger person.

You don't need to take a break, just mellow out. And stop using your disability as a crutch or excuse for you acting out every time. It starts to wane after while.

Thank you. I'm starting to love you.

Somewhere between page 35 and the 986th Real Housewives gif. I won't get into the intermittent fifteen pages of group validation every three hours or so.

I'm not trying to be rude, but honest. I think he could bring a lot to the forum minus him acting up to gain acceptance. He's becoming too turned up. Now it's time to rein him in as a friend/fellow poster.

No one's gonna comment on my on-topic post from pages ago. I actually was curious what everyone thought. *shrugs*

I asked him that too but he said he wasn't sure on their plan for where they're focusing. I'm curious to see how they're going to build a show around the core families and create stories without too many other characters for the core to date, boff, etc

I hope for AMC anyway they talk to people from long ago to reprise their roles. I would like for Kelly to run the Boarding House (Since she was closer to Myrtle than Opal I think she would be a better fit), Linc and Chuck move their practice back to PV (Along with Paul Matin--if Still Alive), Donna and Pat (I am thinking of the lady who was the counselor. I think she was Jessee's aunt) could be at Miranda Center. I hope they can even bring Tara back!

I may be in the minority but I think they should focus on the original core families because their are more of them (I.E. The Martins) and more of them are available. This is my Dream Cast:

Erica

Mark

Ellen

Brooke

Opal

Adam/Stuart

David

HIlliary

Jesse

Angie

Pat

Jeff

Tara

Joe

Ruth

Paul

Tad

Kelly

Linc

Chuck

Donna

Nina

Daisy

The younger people could be:

Petey

Bobby Warner

Kelsey

Charlie Brent

Frankie

Scott

Kendall

I'm pretty sure it quickly got lost in the shuffle. LOL.

I can't say I'm surprised if they go with anywhere from 15-18 contract cast members. It makes much more sense to have a 'core' and you can always recur a bunch of people in and out. I think it could work, and could help keep things fresh. And besides, we all know the soaps just focus on half of who they have on contract anyway, really, so cutting it back is smart. HOPEFULLY less dead weight but who knows.

+1 I like him far more in his candids than I have when they show him on OLTL. Seriously how many tubs of this did they have on the set of OLTL? (and yes, for all of you who wonder, I keep two--one on each side of my bed)

This may be an unpopular opinion but I think AMC/OLTL should (this applies for all of daytime) move away from the Love aspect and start telling more of a variety of stories. That way there can be Elderly characters in the story. Also, the old "You can never keep them married" cliche would go away! Also, it seems as if the reason gay characters don't work in daytime is because most characters are not gay. Bianca on AMC is a perfect example. They couldn't get Reese back so they turned Marissa gay so Bianca could remain in story (that is how I remember it. If I am wrong, tell me). If romance is not the central focus I doubt that would have happened. At the same time having a Bi character in daytime seems pretty dynamic. Also, my idea may attract other viewers.

Again, not trying to stir the pot around but I looked up that size and it is 55 gallons. That is all I am going to say about the subject.

That's a lot of lube.

Essentially 15-18 regulars for OLTL is the plan, he wasn't sure how many else would come and go as recurring or do arcs. And my comment was that I wasn't sure how they would work with the core families and still have characters for them to date of boff with such a low character count. He also wasn't sure if they were gonna focus on tr cast at tr end if the show or dig into some characters that haven't been on in a while.
