GH: December 2012 Discussion Thread

Perhaps, but I do know the danger of reading and believing one's press. Folks bent themselves over backward to tell Ronnie C. and Frankie V. how great their vision for OLTL was, when really, we were just happy to be out of Dena Higley's reign of terror.

Now, I'm not suggesting those who are enjoying GH these days have poor tastes. If you're watching and you like what you're watching, then fantastic. But bear in mind: we're down to four soaps now, and even those are treading on very thin ice. Ergo, we're in a period of closing proverbial ranks, when most everyone, both supporters and detractors, are becoming very, very desperate. If the troops are rallying more vocally than they used to, it's because they know the true soapocalypse is imminent; and if those who dislike what writers such as Ronnie C. are giving them are expressing themselves more stridently, it's because they need to make one, final stand before it all gets obliterated.

Well stated. It really is a whole Lord of the Flies thing going on. RC needs to decide whether he wants to be Ralph, Jack or Piggy.

I'm sorry. I cannot stand Felix. Or Sabrina, or Britt.

RC could make better characters than this.

I agree about Felix, Britt is attractive but useless and skanky, I do have a soft spot for Sabrina though. ph34r.png

So what if he's a stereotype, most characters on soaps are, Britt is the bitchy, self-centered stereotype character & so on

Two grown ass men yelling at each other to stay away from another grown ass man is absurd. They act as if they're fighting over a woman.

The story with Faison, Duke and Anna is just too campy. The fact that Anna knows Faison is alive and RC still has leeway to continue Faison impersonating Duke is mind boggling.

Hated that AJ manipulated Michael because it proves Sonny and Carly right.

RealDuke, Faison, Anna and Robert were the best things about today's GH. It's so nice for a regime to actually respect GH's history. And give Finola the emmy! She's got it!

Did you expect any different from this show? No matter who's writing GENERAL HOSPITAL, one fact will remain true: Sonny Corinthos always will come out smelling like a rose.

Felix wants top billing at the Nurses Ball? Who the heck does this guy think he is? Lucy never even got any kind of billing other than that she was the host.

GH has certainely come a long way since the first NB back in 1994, but that's not completely a good thing. The first Nurses Ball had the Quartermaines (Edward, Alan, Monica, AJ, Jason, & Ned) & the Wards (Justus, Keesha, Mary Mae), Luke & Laura, Amy, Ruby, Bobbie & Tony, Damian Smith, Katherine Bell, Lucy & Kevin, John Hanley, Robin & Stone, Mac & Felicia, Maxie, Sean & Tiffany, Brenda & Sonny, Miguel, Meg, Simone, Steve & Audrey, Lee & Gail, Jack & Cynthia Boland. A far cry from who will most likely be attending the new Nurses Ball.
