LOL. No they weren't. It's just people making assumptions, or wanting that. It was always, to me, stritctly a comparison between the two. They're meant to be similar. Shawn would never abandon his kid, which they had him say in the Christmas episode. Maya is the "new Shawn". That's why they established a connection between them. Maya's mother isn't around much and they're meant to have a similar relationship like Chet and Shawn did, although I think Maya and her mother's is a bit better.

Amy always spoke out at times against Topanga and Cory. Not in a bad way but she had her opinions about them. And the gist of it was that Amy felt left out because Christmas was at Cory and Topanga's. They didn't beat us over the head with that but Topanga made Amy's butternut squash soup and they had that tender moment that explained this. Not trying to be smart but are we watching the same show? LOL

I actually think they do a good job balancing the adults and the kids. Did you watch the episode that had Topanga remember her hippy self? That was a great episode for her. I admit they could do more with her but it's not that bad. It's meant to be a show about Riley, like Boy Meets World was about Cory at that age. It just happens that we "know" Cory and Topanga. I think it will be a lot more balanced and I appreciate what we get because the show could have become very Disneyfied (which I was afraid of).

Um, and Joshua was born on the show. He was a baby and is the right age. He'd be about 17/18. Why were you surprised? However I admit when the show was first announced I *completely* forgot about him.

Cory and Shawn always had that kind of relationship.

I had already stopped watching the show when he was born. I had no clue there was another child till today. That's why I was surprised.

I just can't get into this show but the nostalgia of BMW is still there. What's the probability of the old gang returning in small doses via guest appearances and they get their own show? Eric, Angela, Rachel, and Jack all wind up in New York to support Corey and Topanga because of some life crisis. We get to find out what they've been up to for the last thirteen years, they reunite and get a spinoff.

I really never quite loved Jack and Rachel. I liked them but ehh, they're so not a priority for me as a viewer.

Shawn and Feeney at least (and Eric maybe more than once) sound like they'll be on a lot more in Season 2, so who knows. Maybe a bit more even between the adults and kids.

I like how Harley is recurring and they've included Minkus. I also liked Sonya Eddy ten times more in this show than I ever have on General Hospital (did anyone see the kid who plays Spencer on GH as the monster under the bed? LOL). I'd like to see Cloris Leachman and Charlotte Rae return for more appearances here and there. How about putting them in the same episode GMW writers ;)

That's good. Couldn't remember if Eric was being included with Feeney and Shawn in appearing more in Season 2.

Eeeeee ... dead

Who's Will double high fiving with? Is that Rider Strong? I know he also directs some episodes too.

And considering the screams Rider and Shawn got when he walked in the door I can't wait for the audience's reaction to Will and Eric. I love that they have an actual audience react to things. I miss that so so much in sitcoms. The loud applause, the awwws, the oohs ...
