October 31, 201213 yr Member I love Spring Forward and hate falling back lol. I hate it getting dark even earlier
October 31, 201213 yr Member I love Spring Forward and hate falling back lol. I hate it getting dark even earlier THIS. Well I don't love Springing forward but I would love it if one year we sprung forward and didn't go back. Seriously what is the point especially now that we're in DST the majority of the year? I want perma-DST.
October 31, 201213 yr Member I love Spring Forward and hate falling back lol. I hate it getting dark even earlier I know I kinda feel depressed when it gets dark at like 5:30 :/ lol
October 31, 201213 yr Member I love Spring Forward and hate falling back lol. I hate it getting dark even earlier Same here. I love the summer when it doesn't get dark until after 9. Now it'll be dark at like 5 lol.
October 31, 201213 yr Member Ha, I like the dark and I like sleeping late, what can I say? When springing forward comes around, I get very pissy, like someone is robbing me of something.

Being from Chicago, I'm on the far east side of the Central Time Zone, and this summer when I went to Michigan for the weekend, it was the far west side of Eastern Time Zone, so the sun didn't fully set til after 9:30pm! It wasn't fully dark outside til 10! Crazy! Loved it. Edited October 31, 201213 yr by Gray Bunny
November 1, 201213 yr Member Ditto this. I hate how it's pitch black by 5pm. At least where I live. One of the most brutal things about living in the Northeast.
November 1, 201213 yr Member how anyone likes this time change is beyond me. its bright at 5am and pitch black by 6pm.
November 1, 201213 yr Member LOL, I just like dark and cozy fall/winter and getting that extra hour of sleep even if you only get to really appreciate it for one day. I like the attributes of every season, minus the humidity of Mid-Atlantic summers. Edited November 1, 201213 yr by SFK
November 2, 201213 yr Member What I don't like about the sun setting so early (and the additional hour of darkness during the evening once we set the clocks back) is that to me, in my mind, the darkness symbolizes the end of the day; time to pack it in and settle in at home. Whereas in the summer, you feel like it's early and still time to head out and get things done at 8pm, but in the wintertime, you feel like it's the end of the day by 5:30pm. Guess that's just my own lil internal issue
November 2, 201213 yr Member I hate it. Plus we're actually working an hour longer as well(ugh ) Yeah I agree with the above. I hate it being dark by 5 pm. If you work all day you barely get to enjoy the daylight
November 2, 201213 yr Member I hate when the time jumps forward bc I feel as if Ive lost an hour of sleep, which is why I prefer when we get an hour back with the fall change. But right now, ugh, bc I run in the morning and its cold. Going back means its gonna be colder
