Cross Over idea between B&B and Y&R as well as fixing Y&R

so with Ron Moss (Ridge) and Susan Flannery's (Stephanie) exit from B&B and most of the vets like Eric, Thorn, Felicia, Taylor being put on the back burner. I think now would be great time to move the core vets to Y&R and bring Forrester Creations to GC. maybe Victor and Kay takes over FC leading the family to come to Y&R to fight them for control of the company. which leads to a merger of Forrester Creations with Jabot setting up a new rival company Victor's Newman Enterprise and Kathrene's Channsler Industrys. also imagin a Ridge vs Victor vs Jack rivalry over Taylor as well as Jill vs Stephanie over Eric. would make for great tv . yes Y&R would have to cut alot of dead wood like Gloria, Jeff, among other. Y&R would have four of the late great Bill Bell's greatest family on one show Newmans, Channslers, Abbotts and Forresters battling it out for the cosmetics and fashion indusrty. leave Brook and the younger Forresters on B&B but the rest of the family should relocate to Genoa City.

think the Forresters to Y&R would work?

not talking about the entire cast just the vets B&B no longer use or are leaving. B&B is now focusing on the younger cast. B&B should become about the music industry and move Y&R to focus on fashion and cosmetics.

to B&B

Devon and Tucker where they could reunite with Angelina to start a shift the B&B into music industry.

To Y&R

Forrester Creations fashion house - merging with Jabot to create a new rival company to Newman Enterprise and Chancellor Industrys

.Eric - would be a force in the fashion industry in GC and becoming a rival to Victor. also has a history with Lauren.

Stephanie - leaving B&B and will lose battle with cancer. which is a mistake and will hurt the show in the long run. moving the character to Genoa City will only help Y&R and keeps the character around for future cross overs. Lauren and Stephanie were rivals over Eric and would be fun watching her battle it out with Jill.

Thorn - never really used

Taylor - would be a great addition to Y&R and would have chemistry with a lot of the male cast.

Felicia - same like Thorn.

Bridget - can see her as love interest with Daniel lots of potential.

Y&R characters that would have to go

Devon

Cane

Gloria

Jeff

Chelsea

Tucker

Ronan

Abby

Fen

Daisy

the show would revolve around Newmans,Abbotts, Chancellors, Forresters.

Forrester Jabot Creations vs Newman Chancellor Enterprise = awesomeness

Look, I get how tempting it would be to have B&B characters cross over to Y&R permanently. After all, both Ashley and Sheila transferred to B&B from Y&R; and in both cases, too, the transfer was seamless and arguably successful. But that's because Y&R's characters tend(ed) to be more...dynamic than B&B's. If a B&B character, no matter how popular, were to come over to Y&R, they would fade into the woodwork in no time.

I still think Felicia could be an asset to Y&R - more so than she was to B&B. She fit in seamlessly mixing it up with the Newmans and Abbotts in her 2008 stint (before Babs Bloom squashed it). She'd be great as a love interest for Neil or Aunt Jack.

    • Actually Kim Zimmer got six weeks off to test the waters for pilot season in L.A. - she said later she went on many auditions and got one offer for a sitcom, but she would one of many in an ensemble. She turned it down, because it wasn't worth leaving Guiding Light for a supporting role on a sitcom.
    • I'm not even sure why Zoe would care, even if they know each other offcamera.  I can't see Jean going, but if she is - good riddance at this point.
    • I just found the commercial on YouTube, with several other GL'ers doing the same commercial - how fun!

She did the same for me once Ghost Reva arrived (the anxiety and paranoia) - which is when the storyline for Rick/Annie started, with their Chicago past and her alcoholism. But before all that, when she was new and tending to Josh's broken leg, she was just normal, sweet and very cute/flirty.
    • I have to admit Annie exhausted me somewhat before she went nuts. So much anxiety. She and Robert were OK I guess. Didn't ever stick out much one way or the other.
    • I meant to ask in the May thread, but hey...it's not like it won't come up...   ...has our opinions of Jessica changed at this point? I know we debated at one point if she was sincere in her feelings for Ty or if she was in on his bullying. Now that a little more time has passed, what do we think?
    • Which is why I said...and continue to say mind you...that the designer is still trying to figure out what works for which character...highlight my points with particular characters. And as I also agree with you, too many misses. She has not found a clear, firm rhythm for me. Yet.   I also agree that BTG does a much better job. But I'll give credit where it's due.
    • I watch many episodes from the Vault, a secret source here on SON, because the quality is much better than YouTube. But, it has commercials that I have to skip through, although even these commercials give me serious nostalgia vibes. All that said, there is a consistent 1996 commercial for Excedrin with Frank Beatty!  He talks right into the camera about his feelings, and it's like Brent Lawrence never left. I wonder if GL fans back in the day ever saw this and had feelings about it.
    • Dukes of Hazzard had a good run when it moved to 8pm but even when that was failing ABC and NBC couldn't come up with a hit show to dominate  that timeslot. NBC sent The A Team, Knight Rider and Riptide there for their final seasons and CBS did the same with Scarecrow & Mrs King. Otherwise it was a barrage of new shows that never worked.
    • Agree. Much more miss than hit. Maybe I'm out of the loop, but I thought clothing was supposed to be flattering. A lot of the Y&R women are seen in the tight solid color dresses ,often with cutouts/one shoulder. Now that may be a fashion but to have all of them in interchangeable dresses... Do the characters have a particular color pallette/style that is unique to them? BTG does a better job in that department. Some recent Y&R looks. I actually like the dress but we see that style too often.   Nikki's new look is not to my liking.
    • The first show I found had Maeve dressed horribly, and I just shook my head and thought she must've been thrilled to be portraying someone much more sophisticated and rich. Vanessa's hats and gloves probably cost more than her AW character's entire wardrobe.
