Eh. Todd's lonely and feverish and he's squinting at the nearest saucy blonde. Carly is Blair in a can to him. The only way they could tempt me on Todd and Carly is if it was my Carly, Sarah Brown. I can't with Laura Wright. But RH is a load of fun on the show.

Now, John and Sam or Todd and Sam - that tears me up.

I told my mom something to the effect of...

"I hate to say this. But, if I was FV and RC I'd be calling up some of the former vets and telling them they might have to film a funeral scene soon"

Am I wrong for thinking that JI might die soon?

I want Edward to have a funeral as good as Lila's was. With returns from the past.

Don't kill me!

No. I touched on that above. There's no easy way to deal with a situation like this. IMO, the best TPTB can do find a way to let fans say goodbye to the actor in one way and the character in another. Of course, given that TPTB at GH are RC and FV, the fans are, not to put too fine a point on it...totally fucked.

These days Carly is as saucy as Kristiin Alfonso. Brittle brittle brittle.

I'd rather they keep Edward alive and just have him mentioned offcamera. The "tribute" to Robin was a fiasco, and I doubt this would be any better. It's not like they will bring anyone back. We will just hear Sonny speak about how much he loved Edward.

Stop it! You are making me cry.

You guys, I know most of us really hate Guza and Phelps around here but DAMN did they give us a fantastic farewell episode to Lila. Thank you to AddieCate for uploading the entire thing. Really, take the time to watch it. I watched it last week for the first time since it aired originally, and it was truly beautiful. They even showed flashbacks of Edward/Emily as played by the previous actor/actress. It was just beautifully done. And if God forbid JI goes soon, I sure hope we get something this touching. The only blemish is that it was Jed Allen not John Ingle as Edward.

Here it is:

I'm going to cry, the Quartermaines really are over. Even when Monica said "The Cook" was dead, I got sad.

They were seriously my favorite family on any soap, and just to see how they are barely hanging on with 3, breaks my heart. I always had hope of a resurgence, there are so many of them, soo many possibilities, but no writer willing to try.

I disagree. While fallout and a decent story might have made for six good months in 1991, I have gotten 20 years worth of pleasure out of John Ingle's Edward. Is he David Lewis? No. But he made Edward his own and has been one of the best actors GH has had over the last 20 years. I am sad we have seen the last of him.

Tracy to Monica:

Before she says something nice...

"You were a promiscuous social climber, and my brother should have never brought you into the house..."

As only Jane Elliot can deliver it! I absolutely loved it. It's time to bring in some Qs. JE showed that this could still work. LC can hardly move any part of her body, not even her eyelashes, so I just have to ignore her. JE would make one hell of a matriarch. Her hair is gorgeous too!

Remember the scene when Tracy learned of Lila's death? It haunted me for quite some time when she said, "I want my mommy". Unbelievable! I'm sure one of you PIs can find that. I never could, but I'm almost afraid to watch it again.

I don't believe anyone on this show no matter how much more great material the women may be getting care about any of them. And this show doesn't have an Erika Slezak, Susan Lucci, Susan Flannery, Jeanne Cooper, heck they don't even have a Katherine Kelly Lang. The only way I'd see any more Quartermaine story is if they brought Rex over from OLTL and retconned his paternity yet again. I've heard rumblings of them bringing Alan back in some capacity and at this point as much as I love him, it's like what for. They've managed to use Tracy for a long time without using the Quartermaines or rebuild them so as much as I love Jane Elliott, I just don't see it.

    • I really don't want to see some old P&G actors on the show. To me Lindstrom and McLain have brought nothing special. The show needs to find new talent, so it has it's own identity, which overall they have. Timon, Tricia, Ambyr are breakouts. Most of the others are fine .We all know the exceptions.
    • I would wager that was because it was a new character for the likes of Devon, Lily and Nate to interact with. Watching the likes of Billy fall in love again-Phyllis, Chelsea,Lily and now Sally is repetitive, especially when he is no prize. Josh doesn't really do long term couples. So every year or so they swap partners. It diminishes them as characters as they don't seem to grow or learn from the past. We know those characters so well and they've been through just about everything, so the only solution is to involve them with new characters and have them react to the newbies drama. They tried with Ashland and the Rosales but Josh dumped the latter and wrote so badly for Ashland who could have been a long term antagonist. All we got was another short lived marriage for Victoria and another accidental killing. And Josh thinks having them sit in restaraunts for the whole episode talking business, mergers, takeovers and job switching is interestring. It's not. I feel sorry for the actors who must know they are serving shite.
    • If I were to cast a Soap Opera veteran as Jan.. I would have picked Krista Allen (of Days and B & B fame) since she did move to the Atlanta area in late 2023... and knows all there is about the Soap opera way of filming.  And I could see her playing Ashley's mom.
    • Is the set for Lulu's new house an updated version of the set used for the childhood home of Luke, Bobbie and Pat Spencer?
    • I feel like AMC would be the easiest of their soaps to revive but a reboot seems cursed at this point. I wish we had more insight on what was pitched for the primetime reboot as well as these movies. That would give us a better idea of why it keeps getting shot down.
    • Mansion of the Damned sure is a "talkative" horror movie.  In the past when I've watched those episodes, I was paying attention to The Edge of Night characters and not really zeroing in on the rehearsals/blocking/filming of the actual movie.  This time I've been following the plot of Mansion of the Damned pretty closely, and all I can say is Hester Atherton and Nicholas Harriman are about the most chit-chatty Witch and Devil I've ever heard in my life!
    • Ashley and Derek have been so isolated that I need the show to develop something, anything to justify their presence. It's not that I think Joey being her father will be the greatest story ever told but at least it would be something and connect her to more characters. I just need the show to move forward with them. Out of all the characters, these are the only two with no storyline/development. We have recurring characters who are better used with less screentime. If the show is going to keep them on contract they need to do something with them.
    • I never thought I'd say it, but SC is B&B's best male actor - by far. SK is next. Has there ever been a US soap that has so much female talent surrounding by Himbos? KKL, JMW, HT, KB, AN, RB could be/have been leading ladies on any other soap. Even the secondary females are the ones who carry their scenes. It's been rare periods when B&B actually had a few solid male cast members. JMW really did a great job in the scenes with AN. Considering everything we've witnessed the past couple of years with Steffy/Hope, I thought reveal may ring hollow. JMW proved me wrong. No doubt this is Emmy material.
    • You won't even accept a minute cameo from Ms Marcil herself so she can collect her cheque?
