Y&R airs at 12:30 where I live with BB at 1:30.

I wouldn't say the stories are about the women at all. Bad things happen to Kate so Sonny can lash out. Kristina screws up in order to get reactions from Sonny, Trey, and Joe Jr.

Yeah Kristina's doesn't even have a story. She's supporting to Sam, Sonny, Trey, Joe, Kate. And I loathe the way they are writing Sonny as some great guy all of a sudden. Even Guza used to bring him down every few months.

While I don't expect the Executive Producers of these shows to say that what they are doing is crap and bleeding viewers, I also don't want them to make delusional statements. MAB's statements and Valentini's statements to Michael Fairman about how GH is better than the other 3 soaps is just delusion. Look at the numbers. The numbers speak much more loudly.

It's not delusion. It's the Jedi Mind Trick. They see the numbers but it doesn't do them any good to admit their product is crap. Who publicly admits they're doing a bad job? So instead they play "Isn't this WONDERFUL?!!!!" in the hope that they can convince everyone else and people like Michael Fairman (who I generally like) don't push back because they need the access and a lot of fans just believe it because they want to.

Notice how when someone like Valentini starts cheerleading about their show there's always people who immediately come back with "Why would they lie?" The real question is "Why wouldn't they?"

something sad about seeing just 3 soaps in the ratings. Feels like a preview of whats to come
