No Taylor is usually written as she thinks she is right, only to be revealed to be wrong. How many times has she cluelessly defended both her kids, not knowing they are lying and realizing how much of an idiot she is making herself out to look like in the process? Brooke is the one generally written as right as she seems to be a lot more perceptive and aware of what really goes on. Taylor is rarely spot on when it comes to interpreting the relationships around her

Brooke mostly just says Hope and Liam should be together and Rick should stay away from Amber. Then they blame her for Hope's problems.

Thomas has no real story, but with Steffy they seem to write Taylor as generally being on the right path - she didn't approve of Bill/Steffy, she just went along with what Steffy wanted. She sees Steffy and Liam as true love.

It's been so great seeing JG this week. I'm glad she was able to be involved with the wedding. I liked the emotion she showed about Marcus, but seeing her with Eric displayed just how wrong that relationship was --- almost as bad as Victor/Sharon. (Of course, the irony that both JG, JMcC being Y&R vets.)

As if it weren't obvious, B&B needs to keep KL on the frontburner - she is such a lovely actress and Dayzee's scenes with Stephanie are fantastic. They are certainly not forced or odd and, frankly, they are full of angst or drama. I loved Stephanie's "night before her first wedding" confession. Of course, SF sets the acting standard on B&B, so I judge all the actors who are in her scenes based on comfort, ease and connection. KL meets it.

I hated the history rewrite yesterday. Now Stephanie knew all along that Ridge was Massimo's son and used that to trick Eric into marriage? Thats not how it was portrayed when the truth came out. Stephanie had no clue who her baby's father was. She had assumed it was Eric's and went with that.

I believe what Stephanie meant was that she was using her pregnancy to manipulate a marriage. I gathered that she said it was the worst night because she knew she was keeping a potential secret because she didn't know the truth (even if she decided odds were Ridge was Eric's). Regardless, still one of the worst paternity switch stories. It was pretty pointless.

Marcus to Thomas: "Anthony was the homie" LMAO. Awful.

Love that Clarence was the minister at the wedding!! Dayzee looked stunning.

Did Beverly's invitation get lost in the mail? LOL.

Great to see Jacob Young! He's back to being wasted

I was convinced they were bringing that doctor back for a pregnant Steffy storyline! I was wrong sad.png Damn.

I wish they'd continued the Y&R crossover by having Olivia or maybe even Neil or Lily at the wedding since they're related to Marcus and Justin. That would be a nice tie to keep going in a mellow fashion just in case they want to pursue it in the future. You could easily spin Amber, Marcus & Dayzee off to Y&R so it would be nice to develop those ties now.

MAB and TOIIC at Y&R don't know how to write a compelling s/l for the AA characters they have now, so adding two more wouldn't make much sense. Amber has already been there repeating much of her B&B s/l so there's not much for her to do now except stir up trouble for Marcus using Rosie.

I'm going to give B&B credit. I loved the wedding and thought despite everything it was well done.

On the flip side I am just not feeling this texting storyline at all. Granted it just started. But putting Thomas and Marcus at the forefront bad idea. They need a strong vet in that story to help it along.

I couldn't help but think that Amber and Olivia should've been there as well. They already set it up a few months ago where Amber expected to be invited and Amber and Dayzee made a good dynamic. Olivia may have only aired once, but she fit in well and I was thinking of how nice it would've been for her to attend the wedding.

    • This is (maybe) overly simplistic and nonsoapy, but Doug needs to go to Gamblers Anonymous, to deal with the addictive neurological excitement hits that gambling gives him - and which control his life. Vanessa needs to go to therapy to find ways to remain healthfully lusty and sex-positive, but to stay away from anyone who would demean her.
    • YT keeps commending GL clips to me. I discovered Kathleen Cullen was on in Christmas 1987. Was there any talk of making it permanent  or was this just a special visit? I wish they had made the visit permanent. I liked her chemistry with Grant Aleksander.
    • I'm not sure it's as unpopular as you think.  I just think the show knew they were in a bind, and needed a proven couple for the viewers to invest in. Trying to reunite Vanessa and Ross had just failed in 87. I don't think Ed and Holly's affair was well received, as Simon and Garrett had a brother/sister chemistry. Enter Billy and Vanessa, who give you history and an out not to try and do a Josh/Reva/Billy triangle, which would've really wrecked the relationship between Josh and Billy. I'd have been ok with trying Vanessa/Ross again, and doing a Vanessa/Ross/Holly/Billy quad for a while. I hated Nadine. HATED. She had to be the most insufferable also-ran before ATWT's Julia Lindsay. This is where I wish I knew Roger's history better.

    • GROSS. Michael Swan was hot back in his ATWT days. Now he's 76 and WAY past his hot years.
    • Since she kidnapped, locked up and tried to kill her father's wife I'd say that is still a pretty big deal
    • I'm good with the gushing, too. There aren't many soap icons like John Black, and that's important to celebrate and remember. And yes, life does go on for other characters, but as they say, timing is everything. Going sky diving the day before the funeral? And during a week of shows that were so powerful emotionally? No.
    • No. There might have been a slight pause for dramatic effect after his "death," but pretty soon after they showed him in France getting plastic surgery and getting involved with his doctor, then planning with her to bring Christina to France. (She thought he had good reason to do it; she wasn't a bad person or anything). Now that I think of it, there must have been some kind of pause before that, during the 70s. Rita was accused of killing a private patient for an inheritance when she lived in Texas. Part of the backstory was that Roger had been there, too. Not sure exactly when or how long that was.
