I'm not sure what kind of storyline Kristen will get these days. Hopefully if she is indeed returning they will find somewhere for her to fit in.

As for Greg Vaughan as Eric Brady, I read in the same report that Kyle Lowder tried to persuade TPTB to hire him back but for the role of Eric. The report says they thought it would be too confusing. I actually think Eric Martsolf would make more sense as Eric than he does as Brady. I still don't see Brady when I see EM, although a double switch would be way more confusing.

I think it would be good idea if Kyle Lowder hired back as Brady Black, it will be another Two Romans storylines, if only Nadia Bjorlin is on board as Chloe.

I don't think Greg Vaughan is that bad. He managed to show some emotion and good work when he had the chance at GH. The writing was horrendous. I think he will be better than Gering or Christian, and probably not a huge dropdown from Bryan Datillo or James Scott (Scott is more about charisma than talent). I don't really see it as recycling either since this is only the second soap he's been on.

At least then Will wouldn't be asexual, but then I guess part of the character's appeal is being asexual, as that makes him EJ's twink.

Eric playing Brady is part of the reason why peopel who don't really watch DAYS think Brady Black and Eric Brady are the same person!

As much as I'd love to see Kristen/Eileen Davidson back on DAYS, I feel her return will be met with the same type of success as Vivian Alamain's 2009 return. It may have a big impact for the first week, because the big bad villainess is back, but then once she settles in, you'll see she doesn't really fit with the canvas and the way the show is in 2012. She definitely has the family ties, so she has roots in that capacity, but in terms of making shockwaves throughout the canvas and bringing the show back to its yesteryear success, it ain't gonna happen. That's pretty much how all big returns turn out these days.

GV is better then Datillo, I still don't get what people see in him. He's such a turn off to me as a viewer I don't find him attractive in the slightest.

Good for DAYS! They need someone who can stir things up, a fan-favorite. ED is always so wasted on Y&R.

I'll take Datillo over Gering any day of the week. If they are so determined to keep the Rafe character onscreen can we recast with a sexy Latino actor who can at least act a little?

Gering is more attractive then Datillo as well. I don't think either of them are great actors, but I would take eye candy Gering over Datillo's looks.

I dont have any issues with Gering's acting. He gets the job done and Ive never found him to be awful on this show. Is he the best? Definetly not, but he's watchable. The problem with the character is the writing, not the actor

That's why I can't get behind this return. Everyone is so gung-ho about it, and I fear there will be MAJOR disappointment all around. Eileen Davidson won't save Days. She can't. No one person can.

I agree. However, here is why there is more hope for ED. kristen and susan. Those characters returning could, and should, mean major shifts in John/Marlena and Sami/EJ/Nicole, and if done right can pull in even more people. Carlys return was limited to Bo. Vivians ended up being limited to Victor.

I dont even understand why John is still on the show. He, Abe and Roman are basically the same boring, pointless character.

I would keep John, if they can get his spark back, but I would get rid of Roman unless Wayne Norhtrup returned and they actually wrote for him. Abe I could take or leave.
