Worst created character in daytime history

Hmm, if Brenda is a "worthless bitch", then the sorry stream of heifers that followed certainly are negative nil in worth.

Brenda's been worthless for quite some time and Vanessa's Daytime star power is now non existent. She has absolutely no leverage or value, and one of the best things Guza ever did was take that hatchet to the character last time around.

I so did not care about Randi I was hoping Madison's baby was Frankie's. If only so he could get a little escape from her. Denise Vasi was good for nothing but getting his shirt off!

Madison bored me to tears, so I didn't want her with Frankie, either. I simply wished that they'd recast Randi with a charismatic actress that could keep up with Cornelius Smith (I'm not naive to expect an actress that could match Debbi Morgan or Darnell Williams' talent).

So 'worthless' that they pimp her name whether she is on and off-screen.

Like I said, if she is 'worthless', then 99% off of the female characters that have polluted GH since her first departure are negative nil in any form of currency.

The sad part is that a better actress would've given that character more life than being "just there".

Yep. IMO, Randi wasn't necessarily a bad character but she was played by an awful actress and the already poor writing for her was made even worse to accommodate her lack of talent.

I don't think taking a hatchet to any longterm character is ever a good thing. Its bad writing.

I actually thought that Shannon Kane would've made a more appealing Randi than Denise Vasi, as she had more charisma than the latter (which probably explains how Natalia was able to last as long as she did, in spite of AMC barely giving her anything to do).

I used to be the biggest Brenda fan years ago but even I have to acknowledge that Vanessa was a huge part of the issue this go around. The only one she still had chem with was Ingo.

Back in the early 90s, DAYS treated to us to a mother/daughter duo named Molly and Ginger...they were pretty horrible. And remember Dena's first run, before JER came back? Wasn't there some lady named Maya who Shawn had a flirtation with? Alex North was pretty horrible too.

Of course, the worst ever has to be Erica Kane's un-aborted fetus.

O Lord yes, Maya and her mysterious goop. She flirted with Shawn-D and had some business dealing with Tony (or whomever he was, I'm sticking with Tony).

"What is it, Mother? Did you have a vision about him?"

"No! I GOOGLED HIM!"

Love it. A prime example of how 90's melodrama just doesn't work in today's world. :)

She most certainly was part of the problem! All Vanessa brought with her was cackling and dictated the story, which is why Guza had to switch the Brante horse in the middle of the race. Might not have been the best concept, but it was much better than what we got. The only conclusion was to slit Balkan's throat and get VMG the hell off the show!

Since someone else already mentioned my first choice, May Merisi from GL, I gotta go with Samantha Marler.

Good LORD that character was awful. Poor hotass Morgan Englund was saddled with that sadsack mouthbreather for YEARS. I can still hear her obnoxious wheeze of a laugh after all this time.

Considering that GH was/is littered with harpies, I considered Brenda's presence to be a breath of fresh air - which is why Guza did everything in his power to shìt on her for not being what his idea of a woman was.
