May 2, 201213 yr Member Here are the Best Drama Series submissions, via TV Guide: http://www.tvguide.c...ch-1046438.aspx
May 2, 201213 yr Member They are kissing ABC's ass for sure. GH's Intervention was skippable. Don't get me started on the description for OLTL's best drama. Unpopular opinion but I actually liked that epi where Diane was the narrator on Y&R.
May 2, 201213 yr Member Eh at the choices for One Life, but I REALLY hope OLTL gets the nomination and win.
May 2, 201213 yr Member I hope AMC gets one for their finale. GH's episode does look like the one to beat I like OLTL's. Overal I think ABC has a good shot at winning an Emmy for either of these 3. LMAO! The Young and the Restless: What the hell were they thinking Chance of a nomination: It's going to take a Christmas miracle. Edited May 2, 201213 yr by Cheap21
May 2, 201213 yr Member Unpopular opinion but I actually liked that epi where Diane was the narrator on Y&R. I did too, but the other episode, Nikki's Wonderful Life or whatever, was a terrible choice. Though I don't think they had much to choose from, DAYS's choices were pitiful. They actually should have gone WAY back to their January 2011 episodes and used a couple from the Parker paternity climax. Or maybe something from the summer with Vivian/Quinn. Nothing they did in the first 4 months of the "reset" was Emmy-worthy and to choose both of their submissions from that was clearly an ego-driven decision. One that will cost them any chance at a nomination.
May 3, 201213 yr Member GH's Intervention was skippable. What? Unreal. That was one of the best daytime hours of last year - a crown jewel of soap television, or really television period. Completely disagree. GH is the one to beat, wouldn't surprise me if they won. The work is that good. They should win if nothing else.

It was stupid and pointless and did not a damn thing. I prefer B&b's Emmy bait epi where they interviewed those people in the group home. That had alot of heart in it.
May 3, 201213 yr Member I would love for GH to win for the simple fact of hearing one last bitchy speech from the iconic Jill Farren Phelps. Edited May 3, 201213 yr by Y&RWorldTurner

May 4, 201213 yr Member Eh at the choices for One Life, but I REALLY hope OLTL gets the nomination and win. Amen. For the record, I would have preferred the Vickerman premiere/Todd reveal episode (s) and/or Matthew's narration episode over the other two, but I can't say I'm shocked that an FR episode was nominated--just that it wasn't the REAL FR episode! Still, OLTL is my pick for now. Granted, I long only watched OLTL and can't really say anything about the other soaps without watching clips on YouTube (I've seen some of Jake's death on GH before), but I can't help it. I remember when the show won for the first time in 2002 and was thrilled. At the risk of sounding quite defiant and immature, I would love to see my soap deliver one last middle finger to ABC, the network that never really acknowledged it to begin with. Because, at the end of the day, I'm still MissLlanviewPA (hey, that rhymes! ). Edited May 4, 201213 yr by MissLlanviewPA
May 4, 201213 yr Member I hope both AMC & OLTL are nominated in more categories than the other soaps! Does anyone know when and where the nominations will be announced?
May 4, 201213 yr Member Nominations were supposed to be announced today but it has been postponed until Wednesday. The Academy is finalizing a deal with HLN to air the awards show. http://www.deadline.com/2012/05/daytime-emmys-headed-to-hln-report/
May 4, 201213 yr Member I feel that AMC had stronger episodes to submit, but in true AMC decision-making fashion they went the lazy and predictable route which is too bad.
