As if that wasn't hilarious enough, there were scenes of her limping around after that, with bruises on her face, just to remind us of how funny it is to see some woman injured from being tossed onto the pavement. I do think we were supposed to cheer Adam, yes. It was supposed to be a cheap thrill storyline. Adam in drag, Adam terrorizing Ashley, Adam having a doctor who molested his patients come in to "examine" an unconscious Ashley. I never got the idea the show felt any of this was wrong.
