^Angela, did you have to post the bland original R&B version of It's Not Righrt But It's OK? LOL

It's all about the Thunderpuss remix, which made it the dance anthem of summer 1999! LOL

It's one of those rare cases where the remix became more popular than the original version.

At her peak, Whitney wasn't just a singer, or a star, she was a phenomenon. She effortlessly conquered music, movies, and TV (with Cinderella). She dominated the mid 80's to mid 90's. It was quite sad how she became a national joke, and then, an unspoken, bad memory.

There were rumors for years about why she got together with Bobby Brown, and why this was needed for her image. Ultimately this destroyed her.

I don't care how white it may have sounded, I think her first album has some songs which are utter perfection. This is my favorite.

The remixes saved the My Love Is Your Love singles (and album) from being flops, and most of the remixes have outlived the original versions from that album.

The extended version is even better.

Somebody edited her Wikipedia page within the past half hour to say that she died in Ottawa, Canada....which is odd, since it looks like she died in L.A..

The page has since been updated to say:

Death

On February 11, 2012, publicist Kristen Foster revealed Houston had died aged 48.[210][211] A cause and location of death was not immediately given.[210]

I didn't know the name of the remix thus the original version. My bad.

Ray J is reportedly "trippin" after finding a dead Whitney.

In the picture she looks drunk and tired but I think she was off the drugs. I think she would be a lot skinnier if she was still doing the drugs. Maybe it all just caught up with her. Another possibility: I'd like to think she didn't kill herself.

    • Above, I said "Vanessa needs to go to therapy to find ways to remain healthfully lusty and sex-positive, but to stay away from anyone who would demean her." Now adding onto that thought, I would clarify that sometimes I think Vanessa fools around for fun in a positive way.    But other times I sense that she's actually unconsciously trying to demean herself as way of numbing some inner pain -- it's hard to explain what I mean.  Sort of like... sometimes people drink for fun. But other times, people drink  in a self-destructive way, in order to drown out some inner pain. So I think she needs therapy about all of that.
    • A lot of these episodes are available on YT. The rape storyline starts around February or March of 1979 and Roger's demise is sometime in March 1980. The stuff from before 1979 is close to non exisitent, unfortunately.
    • Maeve Kinkead was on from 1980-1988 (left in January); 1989-2000 (went recurring 1996-97); 2002 -For Josh /Reva's Wedding; 2005 (appearances in May and December) back regularly from Feb 2006-end Maureen Garrett was on from 1976-80; 1988-2006 (recurring from 2003 on); 2009 Michael Zaslow was on/off from 1971-1980 with breaks in between but usually made an appearance every year then again 1989-1997. There is a youtube commercial  Guiding Light in 1968

    • Holly's final big story was the Sebastian mess in late 2004.   Vanessa and Matt were promoted to regulars near the end and were heavily recurring prior to that starting around 2007/2008.
    • Keith has a softer presence, but it would have helped to see him be more aggressive or proactive in protecting them instead of standing around like a mannequin. A man the audience should be hoping and wishing gets back together with his wife. Nicole needs a new husband!
    • She needs to learn to be honest with her husband about her lusty interests because being sex positive only works if you're not cheating on your spouse.

    • Very disappointed in the writers in the way they are screwing with Nicole, Ted,  and Kat to make Leslie remain viable. So many holes everywhere.
    • Somebody brought this up elsewhere which emphasizes why this NuTed appears as such a weakling. Why is Kat doing what HE should be doing? And that's everything he can to rid him and his family of this crazy woman. Kat is doing all kinds of things she shouldn't do but now I understand her more. She can't count on her father to eliminate this woman because he's a wimp. He's been too busy inviting her into his home and serving her drinks and offering her invitations to birthday parties. WIMP!!!!
