It would have made more sense than most of the garbage they've given her over the years.

I was disappointed in Marcie and Michael's return...I wanted them back for more than that.

I thought it was appropriate. They came for a visit and they have no inherent story of their own as they got decent closure years ago. I dont think they needed to do anymore with them than they did. Marcie reflected on the loss of Gigi and Michael gave some brotherly advice to John. We got to learn that they are having another child. I though they were used effectively

I agree they were used effectively, I just wish it lasted longer. Maybe now that Gigi is (maybe) alive?
