@carlivatiron This is how you wrap up a network run of a legendary soap? Good Lord. Thanks for zilch.

@carlivatiron Ron Carlivati

@writestuffla You're welcome!

Confused--who's Writeffla? And who's Ron bitching at (if that is Ron)

@writesruffla is Jim Henson's username on Twitter, just like @carlivatiron is Ron Carlivati's Twitter username. This Jim Henson is just some random fan of the show.

Will Kempe played Ian Armitage but that's not him. I've seen the ER doc actor before but I can't remember if he was on OLTL or some other soap, also playing a doctor. ?

He's been on OLTL as a doctor a lot this past year. Personally I always think he looks a lot like Jay Wilkinson--the Broadway actor who was wasted as Riley Colson on OLTL a while back.

(Will Kempe/Ian DID play a doctor for a few mweeks on AMC a few years back)

Yes, "Riley Colson" is who he reminded me of. Thanks! ITA, JW was wasted in that role.

Will Kempe's "Ian" had the infamous line "I've got a little Guy in my eye" from the late 90s. biggrin.png

I liked Will Kempe but the role was rather thankless--the show was kinda a mess at that time--ha I forgot that line of dialogue--or maybe blocked it out. And yeah JW really was--I know his Broadway work and they really could have done a lot more with him.

I thought Monday was pre-empted but that was because abc.com's next episode preview is for Tuesday--I guess they skipped Monday as it will just be the fantasy episode. I take it Friday and next Monday are the true pre-emptions.

Instead of Alex being his mother, Wanda was going to be Cutter's grandmother who sold him at birth. He'd still choke her and use emotional blackmail to help him to hide Gigi from Rex

The actor's name is Paul Rolfes, and the character is Dr. Jay Gangemi. He's been recurring on and off on OLTL for a few years now.

I actually agree. As far as the characters go, they are equal.

We agree on somerthing for once? Hell just froze over.

Aww, that's too bad about Wanda. I don't remember how she got written out, didn't she fall in love with Mr Peterman from The Bob Newhart Show and they left town or something? He was a gardener of some sort I think.

I wish someone would ask him about Carla or any of the black characters returning for the swan song. If not the Hall's, why not an appearance or two from Rachel, Hank and RJ, the more recently exiled black characters? They really did a shameful job in that regard. Ellen Holly aside, they really did nothing to show that their black characters meant anything to the show.

He was a gardener but was actually Viki's guardian angel. He and Wanda dated and went into business together. About a year or two after he showed up, he was hit on the head or something and it was implied that he was going back up to Heaven to continue his duties.

She had a few more relationships after this before finally deciding to move to Seattle with a man.

Were there any plans to bring back Larry Wolek????
