Members DaytimeFan
That's actually good advice. More economical and effective than any cream at Nordstrom.
Members Ryan Chamberlain
Someone mentioned wanting props from AMC and OLTL. I want the French picture from Tad's living room, and Morris from OLTL! Yay Porcupines!!!
Members R Sinclair
This makes me legitimately laugh because I have no trouble believing this might actually happen on this show. The brief piece of the show I saw back in October, Clinton Kelly was making inane small talk while the "Italian" chef and the bird woman chef were cooking. He says something about his favorite midnight snack is cold fried chicken. Immediately, the camera cuts to two black people in the audience. I was done. Members DRW50
That's pretty disgusting. I hope it was just a coincidence.
Members Khan
I'm just glad the AA's in the audience weren't tap-dancing while eating chicken (in blackface, with pickaninny braids in their hair).
Members dragonflies
Well it is ABC, so it was probably deliberate.
Members Khan
No, ABC would never deliberately cut to black people...unless they were fat and "sassy." Am I right, Sherri? Whoopi?

Members Dana
In the current issue of Soap Opera Digest (Best/Worst issue), in the article on Prospect Park's efforts crashing and burning is this little blurb I don't think we've heard before: "Digest has learned that PP was asking potential investors to make steep, eight-figure contributions, and had looked into cost-cutting measures such as producing the shows nonunion and shooting in Canada." The latter part of that statement probably would have been smart, but the fact that they didn't have the money (or enough of it) lined up in the first place probably is the biggest contributor to the failure of the project. Members Khan
AMC produced in Canada? No wonder Cameron Mathison was the first to sign up!
Members John
I cant believe SOD posted that non union stuff. AMC & OLTL are signatory shows to AFTRA and all actors AFTRA members. The shows could not be filmed non union and actors were not gonna leave AFTRA to film the soaps. As far as Canada thats cool but they could also film in CT, NJ and it would be cheaper. As for the investors its not uncommon to be asked for big money when looking for investors.
Members SFK
Eight figures? I wonder how many investors were we talking. AMC and OLTL shot non-union in Canada? Lawd, might as well launch new soaps with Degrassi rejects. You think all of those AMC actors were going to lug their [!@#$%^&*] to Canada after moving their lives over to L.A. for a failed venture? It would be different if we were talking primetime with lengthy breaks, but 52 weeks in Canada and having to ditch your union? They would have lost a lot of cast.
