I'm mostly an AMC viewer so most of my bad storyline choices are from AMC:

For me, Josh Madden being Erica Kane and Jeff Martin's un-aborted fetus was just wrong on so many levels. It supposedly happened five years before the first IVF baby was born, and it's not even technically possible NOW. There were so many other ways to make Josh Erica's son without undoing TV's first legal abortion.

Going along with this storyline, Tad burying Greg Madden alive and torturing him for weeks before he died was just awful beyond belief.

I also hated the Satin Slayer S/L.

From Days of Our Lives, Marlena being possessed by the devil was awful.

From Passions, the witch with the doll that came to life was ridiculous.

This is really hard to believe, but JERk's most vocal supporters have praised these storylines as evidence of his "greatness."

The Princess Diana stuff on Passions was awful and I thought in poor taste

I'm not a JER fan, but Timmy on Passions was a character I had a soft spot for some unknown reason.

I thought it was just massively creepy. But then, if I want sci-fi or fantasy, that's what I'll watch. I don't like supernatural weirdness in my soap operas. I want drama and romance and passion and intrigue, and I prefer to enjoy that without devils, witches, etc.

My vote for GH goes to the Luke killing Jake story. Sure there was some good acting (zzzzzzz) but all it became was a huge pity fest for Luke Spencer no consequences.

I hated that storyline for a simpler reason - it was a tacky ripoff of the BJ's death story.

Muwahahah... when I used to run a website, I posted photos of Marty West's foray into the world of internet homoerotic wresting (i.e. him and another dude wrestling in nothing but speedos) and who did I get an email from but good ol' Marty kindly requesting that I remove them because he didn't want people to get the wrong idea about him...
