September 8, 201114 yr Author Member Of course they're not Jesse & Angie, they're not supposed to be. My point about Tad and Dixie is they just don't have what Jangie do. I think its because I am just tired of the repeated merry go round dead and undead
September 8, 201114 yr Member True, but then again Jesse and Angie weren't around for 20 years, otherwise the same would have been done to them
September 8, 201114 yr Author Member True, but then again Jesse and Angie weren't around for 20 years, otherwise the same would have been done to them Fair point I guess I am just over them. I was on Dixies last 2 returns. And I loved them in their day. And I am disappointed because I finally felt Tad/MEK , they finally found something that was working for him. I am not talking super couple but a relationship that was building successfully to a romance for him something this show has failed to do for MEK barring Dixie for years. I am not talking super couple but a relationship that was building successfully to a romance for him something this show has failed to do for MEK barring Dixie for years. MEK probably felt the same way. Then, he probably decided this (another Tad/Dixie reunion) was what TPTB wanted and just went with it. Hence, the increased effort and enthusiasm on his part in today's scenes.
September 8, 201114 yr Member The show was soo good without that PO nonsense. Even David was bearable Loved the Tad and Krystal scene. I really enjoy them as friends and coparents together NuTrevor isnt as cute as the last one Cara is so pregnant. Amanda saying that she has something good coming on the way and she will find out eventually...I thought that was a blatant literary hint Can someone explain to me the circumstances surrounding Adams departure? I am a tad confused how JR has total control of the company and properties as they are on the verge of bankruptcy Adam walked in on JR in bed with Annie, presumably about to have sex. He learned that they had already had sex recently. Outraged, Adam left town with Brooke and he and JR havent been on good terms since. JR was already running Chandler but Adam put Scott in charge as well and the two ran it together until Scott went to jail last year. The company took a hit when the patent fraud was revealed but it was surviving. They are bankrupt now bc JR's been a mess for a while and apparently hasnt been making the best decisions after he fell off the wagon Edited September 8, 201114 yr by Cheap21
September 8, 201114 yr Member I have only seen a portion of today's show but I liked what I saw (David and Cara cloud scene; Scott & Madison) and am looking forward to watching the rest. Seems like one of the good days in the schizophrenia that has been AMC lately.
September 8, 201114 yr Member There goes Jake, couldn't ignore David and walk by him instead he has to mouth off, JR looses everything, Good!, It be sweet if David bought the Chandler Mansion since he loved hiding in the tunnels, The Dixie Tad Chicken bit is not funny.
September 8, 201114 yr Member AS much as I like LH they need to give her more than being Davids savior and I just think tragic heroine is not LH's best mode She doesn't fit anywhere. I am confused as to why they keep trying to make her happen. She was almost interesting during the interim where she was single but they threw that out to pair her with David.

I thought the David thing was going to be a ONS and so be it but now they are trying to make them seem to happen in some way romantically and I just don't see it. Its not that I don't like them together I just dont get it and it just doesnt fit in with everything else happening on the show right now. They tried in some sense on Days to make her an ingenue and heroic figure in a sense with a more compelling backstory and it didnt work there either. Her Teresa on passions was clearly LH's best fit Edited September 8, 201114 yr by JaneAusten
September 8, 201114 yr Member Despite the many flaws, I actually think AMC (for the past several weeks or so) is the best I have seen it in many years. If it was this good for the past four years, it would not be facing cancellation.

People (I don't mean you) need to accept that.

I don't think it's cut and dry in either direction. I think had AMC been pulling in more viewers then ABC would have toyed with keeping it for awhile longer. It's dismal ratings (1.6/1.7 households are you kidding me?) probably gave ABC the push to kill it. They were obviously interested in keeping it at first (revamp to L.A. no less, that couldn't have been cheap) but it proved unjustifiable to them to keep spending this much money with nothing coming back to them. The failure of these shows to bring in viewers instead of lose them was the final nail in the coffin and ABC chose to get out. Edited September 9, 201114 yr by Skin
September 9, 201114 yr Member David starry eyed I am sorry doesnt work It used to. He did to soooooooooooooooo well with Erica. I'm going to watch these scenes, if for no other reason then to see if I can still believe that he can give an ish about anyone other than himself.
