What areas did the earthquake affect? And I just realized Jess isn't on for Asa day. How rude! Gah, just got the report I've heard reports of people feeling it as far west as St. Louis. Some people have said they have felt it here in Kentucky....I myself didn't, but people about an hour north of me said that they did.
August 23, 201114 yr Member I hope everyone affected is ok but I honestly don't think earthquakes are something that need to broken into programming for unless people are in danger or famous buildings have collapsed Edited August 23, 201114 yr by alexisfan07

Yea I guess but I'm one that feels that if one wants to know anything about what's going on in the world, it's their choice to look it up on their own and to keep themselves informed. It's not the media's place to force news on us. Most of the time, I try to avoid the news. I want the choice to remain ignorant.

And I've also heard that people felt this earthquake as far north as Toronto, Canada.
August 23, 201114 yr Member Haha wow that's really far north! I'm annoyed we missed part of what are probably Renee's last scenes on the show EDIT: Yay we didn't! LOL Edited August 23, 201114 yr by alexisfan07
August 23, 201114 yr Member Is anybody else having phone service issues in the NYC area? All my phones are out of wack right now. Cell, land. I don't know....if this were the west coast I might agree....but it is worth mentioning since it was close to D.C. and something that doesn't typically happen (at least ones this big anyway) along the east coast. I definitely felt that SOB, had no idea it was an earthquake until the new broke in a few minutes laters. Did ABC news break in? Local affiliate news broke in in NY and that overrides ABC.
August 23, 201114 yr Member My affiliate will probably be talking about this all afternoon. I guess the rest of u have George or Diane?
